Review of Econo Lodge 2*

Where do I begin? It’s a little after midnight, wait let me start at the beginning! I checked in a little after 3pm and that was ok. I got to my room and was very tired. I spent about 6 hours driving but anyway; I unpacked a few items for the night and went to work using my laptop. 1st issue was a roach crawling on my bed, no big deal. 2nd: there’s no power to the plug outlet on either side of the bed. I went to the front desk and found Raj. He said he would give me another room but I said I did not feel like lugging all of my belongings again after being exhausted. He then said he would come by right away to the room to inspect the outlets. Thirty minutes go by and back to the front desk I go but saw him before I made it to the desk. He said he forgot what he was doing and will stop by in a second. Shortly after, he then stopped by and tried to troubleshoot the issue. He said I’ll go check the breaker and will be right back. After an hour I journeyed back to the front desk and asked for Raj. The lady called him on the phone and they conversed for a moment. She looked at me and said “sorry! ” “He forgot about you! ” He is going to check the breaker right now. I made my way back to the room and finished my reports. 3rd: I clocked the Wi-Fi speed at. 62 download and. 58 upload. It took a while to send an attached email. 4th issue: I figured this guy Raj isn’t going to fix the problem so I went to bed. While I was sleeping I woke up to roaches crawling on my arm and then my face! It’s about to be 12:40am! I’m exhausted! If there was a rating below one star then that’s what I would rate this place at! NEVER AGAIN will I stay here! Other issues I overlooked but will share: I dreadful stench in the hallway, cigarette burns (I’m guessing) on the curtains and bed linen. The toilet doesn’t cycle properly! I haven’t had to utilize the fridge or microwave. Seriously! I mean seriously! Choice Hotels? Really? I’m a diamond member! Even though this isn’t a select hotel they could at least exterminate for pest!
