Unforgettable experience at the Hotel Urania. We had a great time. Impeccable rest and cleanliness.
Unforgettable atmosphere: we arrived in a late cold evening and entering the hotel excellent welcome typically Viennese with very welcome and relaxing music.
We took a hot herbal tea offered by the really courteous and helpful staff. I will never forget that lovely relaxing evening after the long trip.
In addition, we were very satisfied with the central and interesting location, and the service that allowed us to leave our suitcases after check out.
We will definitely come back.

Our room was nothing like the photos on Facebook or the website; it was brown, dated and boring! Bathroom was basic with average toiletries, no shower curtain or screen, water everywhere. No glasses in the room for water. No telephone in the room. Would not stay here again. Worst accommodation I have ever stayed at.

Very unhelpful, unfriendly staff!

Not been inside, except in the Klyo restaurant that actually is a part of the Urania; but observing the building from the other side of the river and from the nearby bridge it is definitely one of the most remarkable and beautiful buildings of middle Europe.

Very nice and central. If you are only visiting the city, you don't necessarily have to go in, but Vienna simply has too much to see, it's enough to see them from the outside. (Recommendation of our Vienna kinship)

We took part in the evening event "Heavenly Views", which lasted 1 1/2 hours. I am very interested in astronomy, but was disappointed by the visit and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

— OBSERVATION UNSPECTACULAR: I had hoped to see details of celestial bodies, which I perceive as points in the night sky, in the observatory. But even viewed through the telescope, it was mostly just points. For example, Mars was only perceptible as a red spot. Although it was pointed out that the observatory has limited financial resources at its disposal and therefore cannot afford high-end equipment, I still had the impression that I could hardly see more than with the naked eye. Perhaps more could have been discovered on the lunar surface. Its observation was also announced, but when we were upstairs, it was said that it had already sunk. = (

— TRANSFER / WENIGER IS MORE: The lecturer seemed very competent, but his knowledge was so poured over me that the information could no longer be digested for me and I could not listen after a short time. I hardly dared to ask questions because the answers are so sprawling.

The Urania in Vienna — will still stand when many of us no longer exist! :-)

It was opened in 1940, with an interesting story of failure and success. Today, Urania is used for education and represents a historical piece of Vienna. Historically, she lived with all the ups and downs of contemporary history. In 1944 it was hit by several bombs, after the war it was used by the Russian army as a horse stable.

Were a star-leading at night, everything was simply explained and it was very inter-ressable and instructively absolute recommended!

A great location and unique architecture.

This hotel was perfect for my short stay in Vienna. I was there visiting my brother for 11 days and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were extremely friendly to me and to my brother. This hotel is not fancy by any means but it sure suited my needs. I loved the complimentary breakfast, and already I am missing my black breads and cheese. Thank you to everyone for your kindness!

A great location with great visibility declared the night sky by competent staff. For little people, there's the Kasperltheater in this house.

We enjoyed our stay: gorgeous rooms' design, helpful staff, great location, delicious breakfast. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no AC or fan in the room, so it might be a bit uncomfortable to stay inside on hot days (it was around +33 both days during our stay, and it felt like in sauna in the morning). However, I still give the hotel 5 stars as we didn't try to ask for a fan, so probably this issue can be managed somehow (no one else mentioned it in the review).

Good design and a huge telescope lens.

Very nice architecture and well into the city of the center but that impedes seriously the performance of the telescope due to light pollution.

We did the guided tour on 9PM. Very interesting, especially if you spot planets like saturn, jupiter through their telescope :) Was hot up there in the summer and it takes clearly more than an hour. Bring your own water then!

Located in city center, quite, family-run business. Wi-Fi available and reliable. Pets are accepted. No access for people with disabilities. Cleaning is not the best I have seen. Restaurant offers a monotone breakfast only. Staff friendly and supportive.

A surprisingly cool movie. Were there were sold out actually, because all of the other ideas already. From this movie I was positively surprised.

Well-maintained quality cinema for the special film. Comfortable seating in one of the last classic Viennese cinema halls. Cinema buffet is served by the "bar Urania in the building".

Nice hotel, very goog position of hotel near the centar Vienna, good breakfast, very kind staff.

Not a big telescope, but it offers a lot of different programs.

We have a Standard double room and had the can absolutely not recommend. The room is in poor condition, old and old, and also inadequately equipped. In addition, the rooms as non-Smoking rooms declared in our room was an ashtray and a strong smoke smell to be found. The standard room is far away from all the Standards in such a Hotel expect can. On our complaint were yelled at and with the words "get Out of here! " has been adopted. A visit to this Flophouse is really no one to recommend, unless you like hour hotel — character and miserable Service.

SCH… e hotel or pension, no idea! day two was our wedding and we have the Jacuzzi room booked about a month. One day our wedding I brought champagne and erbere in hotel and the director personally brought hotel fridge tips with 10 euro in that. On the night of our wedding we are cheaper in these pension and our room was occupied. The schonste day of our live ruin! What is e a…! never again!

Acceptable location and nice design, though the furniture is bad, breakfast isn't good, it would be a good hotel we were in the 70s.

Unique, beautiful hotel with very friendly staff.

A very representative of the city building, striking from a distance and is close to the river is almost obligatory. One of the many buildings of Vienna from Francisco José. The bar is also very well although it is a little expensive but it is worth to take something facing the Danube. It serves as starting point to make a path by the river.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. However, you should not have an allergy to the (tiny) House dog and various ornamental birds.
The awesome rooms complete free and fast Wi-Fi. Ours isn't dark was completely black-papered, black furniture, leather bed with super comfortable mattress anyway.
The location is super 5-minute walk to the nearest tram station, as well as in the middle of the city centre.

We were double room for two in the Japan. We were both very excited by the price-performance ratio. The location was ideal for us. Five minutes to the Hundertwasser House and 15 minutes to the Prater amusement park and who is on individual rooms is really right in here.
The best the complete interior of the hotel and the breakfast I liked personally! What not to do from the outside, is the attention to detail of the hotel so unique for me has been extensively and in such a setting to have breakfast.
We can only recommend it.
