Good place but needs to be maintained a bit more.

Don't judge a book by its cover, it looks a bit crappie on the outside but it was oké on the inside. Clean room good beds (a bit short) and clean bathroom. Also the use of the kitchen was very convenient. Good value for money.

Liked it. Coming back. Very convenient located.

Good Location, bathroom was gross. Relatively overpriced compared to student residence, less complimentary items. They offer a place to check your luggage, which is actually just to leave it unlocked in the kitchen without a key to get in. No scary problems though.

This is an older area in toronto, if you are not used to the dusty smell of the old wooden houses try a place north of toronto, say north york, richmondhill or woodbridge stayed a night on july 19th on my trip back to toronto. When I called the girl from the airport she said $50/night but she charged me $60+taxes! The room was not dirty but met a cockroach there beside the bed!

I stayed here for 6 days.
The room was big and really clean. Had a refrigerator, microwave. Desk and chair.
They clean guest rooms every 3 days. Also change towels.
There were some free drinks and seasoning in the kitchen. It helped me:)

I stayed here for 6 days. Amazing accommodations with lots of class. The room was spacious, and the location was perfect right in the middle of everything. Just next to the subway station. Very kind stuff. There are some free drink (coffee, hot chocolate, tea etc…) Loved this place definatly would stay there again If you'd like to stay in quiet place, I recommend here. Thank you!

My stay at Spadina Guesthouse was wonderful. The management team is kind, accommodating, and professional. The amenities are wonderful and the other guests are respectful and nice. The location is perfect — grocery stores, bookstores, subway station next door, gym 10 minute walk away. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great and affordable long-term travel accommodation!

I really enjoyed my 5-night stay at Spadina 11. The innkeeper is super polite and professional, she always makes sure you have everything you need, from material (like towels) to directions to get somewhere (like which streetcar to take). Customer service is really one of their strengths.
Rooms are very simple and casual — don't expect super fancy bedding for this price — but they are clean, beds are super comfortable (and no bed bugs! ), everything was neat. I also appreciated having a small fridge in my single-room, where I could keep all my stuff, and a table to write, read and eat.
The shared bathrooms and kitchen are clean as well, everyone cleans their own dishes after eating and everything is kept very neat. The innkeeper really insists on keeping the place calm and quiet, so you never have to worry about being woken up by, let's say, drunk partiers! Also, the kitchen is fully equipped: toaster, microwave oven, big oven, dinnerware and ustensils, fridge, a table and chairs…
The location is great, it's literally 10 steps from the subway station, close to a grocery store, close to tourist attractions, etc. The only negative point I find was that in the basement (where my single-room was located), you hear the subways coming and leaving the Spadina station all day and all night. However, it did not prevent me from having good nights of sleep.
I feel this guesthouse is a great alternative to super-expensive hotels in Toronto.

I stayed here for 3 weeks, and it was more than I could have asked for. The manager was super accommodating, and the location could not have been more perfect. I highly recommend staying here.

I am an exchange student from Singapore, and I've been staying in the guesthouse for the past 4 months. I would have to say that choosing the Spadina 11 Guesthouse was the best decision I could have made! Not only is the guesthouse just a 10-minute walk from the University of Toronto (where I study), it is also very conveniently located, right beside the Spadina TTC station. Furthermore, the rooms and kitchen are fully equipped, there is good Wi-Fi in the house, and even clea…ning service once a week! In the cold winter months, I always looked forward to the cosy beds and thick blankets in the room which never fail to keep me warm. The cosy feeling of the guesthouse really made me feel at home! :) Alex and Eiko are also very friendly, and they really go the extra mile to help me when I needed (like helping to open the doors when I forgot my keys, providing extra heaters when the room got cold, etc). My stay in the Spadina 11 Guesthouse greatly exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend the guesthouse to anyone coming to Toronto!
