Happy Bed Hostel Hostel

We stayed at Happy Bed Hostel for 5 nights and it was sensational. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was great, it had an extensive variety to choose from. The rooms were quite nice and clean. Would highly recommend to any fellow travellers.

Very pleasant staff. The rooms have a good cut and reasonable sanitary rooms. Of particular note is the breakfast, which has a good selection. From coffee and cocoa, to cereal, to jam, sausage, cheese and various types of bread, there really is something for every taste.
Also positive to mention is the cosy rooftop terrace, which invites you to linger and cosily together with all sorts of interesting people from different countries and cities.
The only shortcoming is the hard beds.

Really nice place! Located in south Kreuzberg, 200mts from the train station and close to bus stops too. Comfortable rooms with the bathroom shared just with roomates, excellent conditions. Cleaning is quite good. Has kitchen with items to cook and some chilling spots. It's hard to socialize tho because common rooms are in the basement and not much people goes there. Anyway the breakfast is really nice. It's a good place for families too. The stuff is kind and there is reception 24hs.

The beds are dirty, the bathrooms actually almost everything. In the house, it stinks of beer and cigarettes. The only good thing was the price let it stay.

Beds pretty hard, walls in a not quite clean state. Otherwise, everything in a very passable state.

The staff is super friendly, the location is decent, you have to rent your bed sheets, the breakfast is only free if you are under 25, and the beds o. K.

Friendly staff, a lot of things to do, kitchen, roof top is amazing!

I booked a mixed room and travelled alone. Fit all right, nice 24-hour reception (gave me Nic-Nacs, donated cigarettes and explained some things to me about the city) and generally a relaxed atmosphere. Above all, it's cheap there and there's free breakfast for people under 27! I definitely recommend this for young travellers who have a cherry stay alone or as a couple!

Cool Hostel, ideally located in the city, about 10 minutes away from Potsdamer Platz. Perfect for excursions and strolling in the city.

I was there with my class and… … The shower looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years (black mold and calcium deposits everywhere) You also dont enjoy showering because it's a very tiny space and the shower head is very loose (i turned up the pressure once in the shower because the shower head kept going down so after I turned it up the shower head shot staight towards the ceiling and water went all over the bathroom walls, I ended up laughing 10 straight minutes because of how stupid that was) … There are wierd key cards instead of keys that DON'T allow you to put them next or near to your phone and when you do they dont work so you might have to walk down 6 flights of stairs like I did (there is an elevator but it's always being used because there are so many different school classes staying at the hotel) … And lastly the building is right next to the very loud subway and the cheap windows don't help at all (unless your room is on the other side of the building) To sum things up it did its job as a hostel meaning I slept OK and that im still alive after all of that mold in the bathroom (tip for the shower: take some kind of flip flops so your feet stay safe of bacteria because it looks like they never have cleaned the shower) This was my experience at the happy bed hostel in Berlin and it would NOT have been my first pick but I didnt have a choice since my whole class went and the teachers planned out our stay This means your experience will most likely be different

They have a free breakfast for the people under 27 and family rooms, 1 U station from checkpoint charlie, cheap price, friendly service.

It's a beautiful place, very clean and organised in a good way, the open Buffet breakfast was really good, the position of the hostel it's also really good the you can reach the subway in 5 minutes or less. And the people who they are working there are so nice and so helpful.

It has all the services, it is comfortable and easy to access.

Excellent value for money, free breakfast was a great bonus. Was never loud during our stay at night and having an en suite was a lovely addition.

Super friendly Staff
Very clean and nice place.
Only downside, the size of the kitchen which, for the number of residents, is really very inadequate! It's a crowd at mealtime. So plan to prepare your dinner well before or widely after 6pm-7pm.

Very nice hostel. Breakfast on the top floor is unique, but allows for a morning with a side of a beautiful view of the city. The rooms are just cozy enough and never feel crowded. Overall, great place for the low price.

It was my very first experience of staying in a hostel, and I wish each and every hostel would be same — clean, organized, great staff, excellent sleeping quality — I was feeling like 4* hotel. Private bathroom for each and every room is another benefit of the property. Of course, there are no toiletries, but you can buy anything you desire (slippers, shampoos, even souvenirs, etc) at reception hall. Location is matter of requirements, but very close to U-bahn and S-bahn Totally recommended.

The Hostel is clean, the Staff is friendly. The 8-bed-room I stayed in even had it‘s own bathroom and shower. The breakfast was included for everybody younger than 27 years old and it had a nice roof terrace.

Nice communal facilities and very nice receptionist… however… I've stayed in alot of hostels and two musts are an accessible plug socket to charge phone and a decent pillow… there was neither… the location to the train line there was a lot of noise and had zero sleep… I moved elsewhere for the duration of my stay.

Great location if you want to be around the Kreuzberg area. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Lockers are quite small so I didn't have anywhere to put my suitcase. Also have to pay extra for sheets and towels which I thought was unusual. Hostel didn't really have much of an atmosphere so would not recommend for solo travellers.

Cheap hostel in a good location to go to celebrate in and around Kreuzberg. Breakfast buffet for young people usually free of charge. Small rooftop terrace with great views. Rooms are clean.

I didn't have any problem. It's a very good hostel and where has a good rooftop too. I think it is the best breakfast hostel i've ever eaten and it's free for people who has between 18 and 27! :)

Good located in Berlin kreuzberg that's why I chose it but the stuff was working without any motivation and not interested into the satisfaction of their clients. Also the bathrooms were dirty as everything in general. I can't recommend it.

We had a great stay at Happy Bed Hostel. Good price, free breakfast was awesome, a few hidden places in the basement to chill out and relax, large dining area, nice outside roof terrace with views of the city to relax and have a drink if you wanted. The location is reasonably far out but is close to the metro, easy walking distance to supermarkets and to checkpoint charlie.

Hello, the reason for staying at the happy Bed hostel of mine was a graduation trip in Berlin. We didn't have much budget so we chose the happy bed hostel. First of all I want to talk about the positive things:
1. There are no keys but smart cards that are very comfortable
2. The breakfast is delicious and has plenty of choice
3. The free Wi-Fi is sufficient. Unfortunately it often has dropouts but for surfing it is enough
Now I would like to address the unfortunately many disadvantages:
1. Mold on the toilets, the shower, on the floor and on the ceiling
(I have pictures below I would also like to say that the pictures were actually made there in the bathroom)
2. The pillows and blankets are never washed as we have experienced
3. Prices are pretty high, for example. At the beverage vending machines
4. Holes in walls
5. The hostel is located in one of the seemingly worst areas of Berlin
6. The S-Bahn which stands immediately next to the hostel robs one night's sleep
I recommend you just take a little more money in your hands and indulge yourself.

Really good atmosphere, very neat, nice place. The common spaces were very clean and neat and the service given by the staff was excellent, always attentive at all times. I was 6 days and the truth that at no time had anything to criticize. If I returned to Berlin I would surely return.

Showers were not the cleanest and the other guests were usually not overheard, so they were very attentive. If you are unlucky you also have the S-Bahn right in front of the window. But it was enough and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Layout & location nice but in this building sound travels & l received very very little sleep, we were put on the 6th floor but l could hear every step of everyone returning from 11pm to around 2am, people coming back also laughing & talking very loudly, l could even hear someone boiling a kettle on ground floor, on our second night some men somwhere were playing music & chanting like a football singing until 4:30 am, they stopped after someone was banging on their door, only after this l got 3 hours sleep, place is ok if you do not want any sleep, noisy & beds a bit hard, l made a mistake booking here as this was a total disaster, very unhappy.

We stayed for a weekend trip in Berlin. The hostel is clean and tidy and fulfills its purpose, namely to spend the day in Berlin and sleep there only. Something close to the S-Bahn, therefore at night a bit noisy (but untenable). Breakfast is simple but adequate. For these purposes over and over again.

Budget Hostel. Comfortable beds, poor breakfast but great location, close to two metro stations and bus stops.

A very nice situated hostel. Almost everything is near, 30 min or less away. The facilities are nice and clean. Breakfast at the top floor is a treat to see the surrounding skylines.

Good price quality ratio. No TV in room, free Wi-Fi. Near Centre, around hostel few do. Very pleasant was the protected parking lot directly behind the hostel.

30 Minuten zu Fuß bis zum Brandenburger Tor, Zimmer nett aber einfach, dusche, Klo, Waschbecken im Zimmer. Ebenso Toiletten im Gang. Frühstück mit toller Aussicht auf dem Dach. Der vorbeifahrende Zug kann stören, aber nicht zu sehr.

Near public transport, great and helpful staff, free parking, good food.

Good location, close to 2 subway stops. Bedrooms and bathrooms clean and with everything you need. Pleasant staff. Breakfast free for children of 26 years very full.

Pros: — near train station — comfortable bunk beds — relatively cheap — they let you leave your bags in their storage space secured by camera and key if you arrive before check in, or leave after check out. — you can pay an extra 5 euro to check out at 1pm rather than 11am Cons: — they didn't give us much info at all when we checked in. Other hostels give you the rundown when you check in. We had to ask for everything. — they didn't have recommendations for where to go nearby. Other hostels have recommendations for nearby drinks/food/sites. — not in a great location for nightlife — showers were pretty grimey. They could spend a little more time cleaning the bathrooms — they charge 2.90 euro for sheets — they charge 10 euro to borrow a lock for their lockers — they charge for 30min use of their billiard table.

Clean rooms, nice staff and good price. Not in a great location for night life.

Location is super after 3 are stations in the city centre and the rooms are super.

The hostel was very well located by public transport and also of Enkaufsmöglichkeiten the Breakfast was very tasty and the view by the way was also once better, a new day can begin. The rooms were also very neat and the bathroom is comfortable and clean, and even if you have to go to the toilet and the bathroom is occupied, there is still a toilet on the corridor very well thought through, I can say as only. The leisure offer was also highly recommended. The staff was very nice and was also able to always give good information about All kinds of things.

Respectable, reasonably priced hostel in a nice location. Not particularly noteworthy, but it served its purpose very well.

Good beds, shower, breakfast and localization! The staff are really nice as well! Specially the half polish half german guy that I forgot the name! I totally recommend this hostel!

It is just not the Calmest location: (due to the U-Bahn) But: close to U-Bahn stops to make the journey Comfortable Rooms Ok for the price eating Top.

It is good but you have to always ask that includes the payment because the staff does not tell you that already includes breakfast for example, and if you don't know you already uploaded. All you charge but in general good!

Price performance is absolutely true.

Dirty and the train is loud. Beds uncomfortable and even really clean duvet cover is full of hair. The food tastes nomal for this kind of stuff.

Simple and Accomodating: Happy Bed Hostel is a clean and renovated hostel in the middle of Kreuzberg providing the basics better than we expected! Lockers in the dorms with a WC and shower in each room, our friends stayed in a private room that was also large and had a great view. The best was the rooftop terrace and having breakfast on the 7th floor! They even had a kitchen so we could cook for ourselves in the evening. The staff was also very friendly and informative. I would recommend this to travelers on a budget!

Good Hotel. All angestielte very Nice. Pries performance ratio is very good for Berlin.

The bathroom had mold on the closet were rotten bananas, and the mattresses had funny spots. In front of the window went every 10 Minutes a train, and so we could at night the window is not open. The Positive was that it was in the vicinity of good Restaurants were. The Breakfast was good.

Who have no rights is right here! Had 2 EZ booked. There were shared rooms without any comfort. No TV, Windows to the street or Track and Berlin's all-night subways fahen should be familiar to anyone. It was very loud the whole night and therefore am like 20 times, woke up; ( Breakfast in the 7th floor with a beautiful view of Berlin! This is the Highlight! The Breakfast itself is fine sausage cheese cereals fruits vegetables all there. The coffee tastes awful, so I had to immediately connect in the subway n drink coffee. Possitiv also the large car Park in the courtyard, and the Service at the front Desk were all very nice;) All in all, for just under 40 euros the night in the middle of Berlin, you can be satisfied.
