Public hall on the third floor is perfect for gathering, mingling and working.

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Worth the price!

Very modern Hotel with clean rooms and comfortable soft beds. The bathroom is big enough, the shower, the entire bathroom, however, is wet. The Breakfast is very Spartan: The selection is limited to currently enrolled, ham something fade-and-cheese Baguettes and poppy seed bun. For longer stays, quite boring.

Still staying here and already wanted to give a 5 star review for this place. Brand new rooms close to the Reykjavik city and more importantly affordable rates considering Icelands expensive hotels! Hurray to the guys working here. Will definitely come back and stay here. Very helpful and friendly staff!

The hotel is too far from the city, tedious by bus. Unfortunately, the rooms did not have an opaque curtain it was always bright in the room. Breakfast is pre-packaged.

It is a great choice for a stay. The hotel is conveniently close to supermarkets, coffee shops, mall and Ikea (! ). Though there is no fridge or coffee maker in the room, you can ask the staff to let you use their fridge (in case you decide to stock up on breakfast items from the market). There is a coffee machine in the lobby (you have to pay for it) that also has hot water you can use to make tea. The windows do open (only the upper portion of the window). The rooms are simple, no frills.

We really loved our stay at First Hotel Kopavogur. It's brand new and modern, very clean, nice rooms, has a comfortable lounge, a promising bar and a well equipped fitness room. If you'd like you can start the day with a breakfast for a small amount (if you know the prices in Iceland). The big plus is — and really is a very big plus — the amazing staff at the hotel. They are there for you 24/7, always a smile on their faces, friendly, helpful, kind and caring. Can you ask for more than a host who takes care and love the guests and his/her job? We will definitely be back and recommend First Hotel Kopavogur. I'm sure it will be better when completed, but it was not finished when we were there. The location isn't great. The room was comfortable, not fussy, very clean. Magnus, the hotel manager, was lovely. My husband and I expressed our disappointment that the fitness center was not completed and he offered to put us on his membership that day as his guests. That would have been a great solution, but we had already resigned to the fact that we wouldn't be able to go to the gym. He gets an "A" for effort though! There isn't breakfast of any kind included. We have dietary restrictions so we couldn't have any of the foods they offer for purchase. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for a budget stay.

Simple but comfortable room. Definitely worth the money. No breakfast but you can buy some sandwiches and coffee. Friendly staff but a bit chaotic as hotel is completely new. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel. Staff were fantastic. Will stay here again. This place was a bargain and only 10 minutes to Reykjavik. Easy access from all directions.

We are staying here as I type this review. The hotel itself is nice. The rooms is minimalist but nice. The major issue is that the refurbishment works are being carried out and apparently the banging starts at 7.30am which I personally don't think is acceptable — they could at least wait until say 9am when most people would be up. We got here late and exhausted after our flight being delayed so being woken up by continuous banging at 7.30am has left me somewhat tired and very annoyed. Shame really as it would have got more stars.

The hotel us really nice. They are currently still renovating so bear that in mind for you stay. It did t really bother us.

New hotel still some work to finnish it, but room was lovely. Travelodge standard and price, staff very pleasant and helpful, receiption/bar very comfortable and pleasant. Not within walking distance from town centre so hire car recommended unless you want to pay the high taxi fares. Would recommend and I would return here again as long as they up there game slightly. Like changing the towels when you leave them in the shower as they requested and not put the dirty wet towels back on the rail. This why only three stars or would have been better.
