Majo House Hotel

Mickey is a gracious host. The sea view room was beautiful. One could just sit outside on the Verandah and enjoy the sunset with a Bier. The breakfast was delectable, there were a variety of Western and south Indian dishes. Mickey also had good recommendations on nearby eateries and things to do. The Chilli out Cafe was a favourite for me and my partner. Mickey was also able to help out with arranging means of commute, including a Taxi to the airport on our last day. I really enjoyed my time at Majo House and hope to stay here again.

We spent 3 days at Majo House. Couldn’t have asked for more. Mickey is well liked in the area. Mention where you are staying and eyes light up. He did his best for us to get our COVID test to re-enter the U. S. Each morning Mickey would cook us breakfast along with providing delightful conversation. There are good places to eat but our favorite was the Lilliput. He is definitely well known there and the staff provided transportation back to Majo when our rickshaw was taking too long. You will not go wrong staying there and we will return if space is available.

We spent the new year's Eve week end there. We occupied the 4 rooms. All are equipped with their own bathroom, all super clean with AC. The place is facing the sea where you can soak in the sun with the loungers. The kitchen is well equipped and the upstairs terrace is ideal for a bbq party. Unfortunately we missed the yoga class but we had a great stay in this very stylish place. Thanks to Miky the owner for making us feel at home and being always available when we needed his input. We'll definitely be there again soon.

From first setting foot at Majo until the sad moment it was time to go. It was an amazing experience to stay at the Majo House. Excellent service, beautiful & stylish accommodations — this place is the best! On previous trips to Cherai we had tried to stay but the place was booked. We were so happy that this time we got to stay here. From the daily morning yoga and breakfasts to playing on the beach and sunning on the private deck, Majo was so relaxing and dreamy. They also helped with transportation for a day out to Ft Kochi and had great suggestions of where to eat and shop. The owner is a wonderful character and was so welcoming and helpful. We cannot wait for our next trip!

Superb house in front of the sea, hearty breakfasts super healthy, kindness of service, in a friendly little village. A must.

Wonderful place. We had a very relaxing stay with Micky and crew earlier this year, and are going back in November again. Can't wait!

We travelled with our 4 months old dogo and he was welcomed equally like us. Location of the property is fabulous you just have to walk down few steps and you are at the beach.

We had two weeks at Majo had a fab time Micky and the gang are great people to be around and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back next year.
Food was lovely as was the Keralan weather.

Simply recommend again, or Relive in a stay in Kerala. Hopefully, the sandy beach will recover, then everything would be perfect!

Micky and his Majohouse are worth a trip. A loving, tasty breakfast, which is personally brought in a basket by Mickey and his always helpful manner we enjoyed. We felt very, very comfortable in paradise.

When I was visiting India I came across Majo, I thought it was fantastic! The hospitality was great and Mr Micky was great. I definitely recommend this place if you are travelling through!

Stayed at the wonderful Majo House at the start of January and it was hands down my highlight of Kerala. Days were spent relaxing on the empty beach, taking mini adventures on the Majo bikes and attempting new yoga routines. The evenings were simply spent laughing with the brilliant host, Micky, at a variety of restaurants down the road. I'd highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting a relaxed, home-from-home experience. Dying to go back soon.

My first trip to India ended with a 6 night stay at Majo House.
Settling into the daily rhythm of a homemade breakfast, chai, yoga, lunch, sunbathing, drinks and dinner, sleep, repeat made the journey home awful!
The owner Micky offers a level of service that I hadnt seen in India before and the care and attention paid to the hotel and its occupants is the 'majo difference'!
I hope to come back and settle into Indian escapism soon. X.

Fantastic place right by a quiet stretch of beach — perfect for relaxing, sunbathing and swimming. The accommodation is of top quality, new and well designed. Micky the English owner is always on hand and made our stay over New Year 2015/16 the best possible way to finish our trip around South India. Could not recommend more highly.
