I spent almost 1 month there and I can tell you I found a home 🫶🏽 ONE of the best Hostel I've been too.
All traveller's are respectful of the rythme of everyone (if you wake up before sunrise for a treck or if you want to sleep at daytime for a hike during the night… (Piton des Neiges) ). It's simply a peaceful place.
If you want to make friend or enjoying the time on your own… whatever your choice is, it's the place you need for your solo travel. I recommend 10000%.
I'm not talking about Anne-Laure… she's the best, full of recommendations and you'll feel the love she puts in this place and the love she has for the Island.

This is the best hostel on the island of La Réunion:
Location > The hostel is a bit outside of St. Pierre, but you can easily walk to the town. A car is certainly helpful (as everywhere on this island) and luckily there's enough parking.
Hostel > It's a small and cozy place: Well furbished, with a nice courtyard and affordable laundry service. The rooms are not too big, but there are curtains so you get your privacy.
Owner > Anne Laure is a super friendly owner who knows everything about the island and is glad to provide recommendations. She's dedicated to assure a great experience for everyone and a nice vibe in the hostel, it feels more like staying with friends than in a hostel. It's also a great place for people that are not fluent in French (like me :D).
Last but not least: There's a cool map in the dining room showing the main sights and secret places. A handy tool for first-time explorers.
