This is going to be my first one star review I have ever posted, I was intrigued by this hotel by the photos that were presented… The location is great, this Hotel is on the lower end in terms of service. — spent 5 hours at the pool, zero staff members came by to ask us if we wanted a drink food or anything else. Literally a person at the pool was on her cell phone for 5 hours, it felt like they paid her to avoid eye contact — I was kind of shocked to see that they don't even have a hot tub on the premises — If you're looking to stay somewhere on a budget and have no thrills just a cot to sleep on this is your place. — overpriced drinks at the bar that I had to go personally down from the pool to get bring up from the lobby bar The main thing that just really killed this place for me is that our room was not cleaned propoerly, we are finding so much human hair throughout my room which makes me feel super concerned about the cleanliness of this hotel. -

I recommend staying at this motel. Staff are wonderful specially one staff member, the concierge, (hoping I get his name right) Gabriel To. This man went above and beyond to find a bag of ours that was left at the Changi airport which had all our medication in. Gabriel went out of his way to travel to the airport and fetch our bag back to us. My husband and I were so grateful for what Gabriel did and the many thank yous are not enough for what he did for us. All staff there were great too they could see that I was upset and did everything to calm me. They even offered us all a drink. I later spoke to the Manager of the hotel to praise Gabriel helpfulness and give him a raise, as I can not say thank you enough for what he did. So yes I recommend this motel not only for its service but for their beautiful rooms, great swimming pool and veiw. Close to shops and attractions. Love it.

You can choose between the East meet west or fruity flair afternoon tea set. Both served with premium TWG tea in pot. We were seated in a cozy corner in the lounge, amidst hotel visitors checking in and out. The set is for 2 pax and reasonably priced. Location is easily accessible. Enjoyed our afternoon there.

Really enjoyed staying in a loft for a week. The location is pretty central and a easy to get a Grab/Taxi to attractions. Clean rooms, good facilities and nice pool as well.

I checked in to Mercure Singapore Bugis on 5/5/2018 with my aged parents into 2 double rooms. The staff at the hotel go out of their way to be nice and helpful to the guests, They saw the hardship my Dad was going through and offered a wheel chair for his use and offered to move them to a handicapped room. I just want to place on record that the hotel staff must be commended for being so courteous, humane and helpful. They also need to be commended Once again and would recommend this hotel to be a wonderful and it is situated in a very convenient place,

Lovely hotel with fantastic front desk and concierge staff, it was just let down by the breakfast buffet… Or rather, lack of. In summary, the room was great, and being very familiar with Singapore, I knew the location was superb, unfortunately however, it was just let down by the breakfast. Seriously, how can a breakfast buffet be 80% empty (no exaggeration) at 10am, when it's due to run until 10.30am?! It had run out of absolutely EVERYTHING when I arrived… even bread. Unfortunately, this didn't change, and from talking with the other guest, it had been that way since 9.30 apparently! Dear Mercure Bugis, I'd happily stay with you again, but next time, I won't bother PAYING IN ADVANCE for the breakfast, not very impressed.

I loved every second that I stayed here. The loft room was incredibly beautiful. It was a bit smaller than what I initially imagined, but perfect for two people. The hotel also offers a free hand phone to use throughout your stay which was useful since it has unlimited data. The rooftop pool was nice and had a good view. The hotel is in a super convenient location with the MRT 5 or so minutes away. Bugis+ and the other connecting malls are also right across the street. Good hawker stalls are within walking distance as well. Would definitely stay here again one day. Only negative was that my bf and I found boxer briefs under the bed that I suppose housekeeping didn't find. Then upstairs loft needs more vacuuming if it gets any at all. There were two TVs in the loft room and both were Samsung smart TVs so you could cast from your laptop/phones. The shower room and toilet room were clean and maintained. Love the large windows as well. Room looks just like the pictures on the main website.

Meet you with friends to have buffet at Royale. Excellent ambience and food. However, service of the staff was a bit not up to standard. Reason being, we were requesting to choose our own table. However, the waiter refuse to let us do so but wave us to a more secluded corner of the restaurant. Overall, I will definitely come back for the food. Will recommend to others as well.

Newly built hotel but in strategic location. Small room, no wardrobe just shelves, no space to put luggage, sink is placed at the walkway which was weird. The bed is nice and comfy though it's a Double not Queen as advertised. Front Staff were lacking "hospitality", and housekeeping need to check and ensure standard amenities are replenish daily.

Unusual pricing for the rooms as they are tiny and bathrooms aren't walled so privacy is non-existent. I assume they're going for the boutique hotel vibe but it's not reflected in the price. You're most likely paying for the location and beautiful pool and rooftop views.

We most certainly enjoyed this place. The gum, jaccuzzi and their version of infinity pool in Singapore is amazing! We spent our anniversary and were given a complimentary upgrade and a welcoming cake. The hotel is also located conveniently near a market and a mall so it was great! Good location. Room is small… but nice and neat. However, the shower somehow did not have hot water when I was trying to take a shower at night. Had to call to front desk and waited 15 min for it to run hot. Otherwise, no problems.

This hotel is located near to major shopping mall in Singapore (Bugis Junction & Bugis Plus), walking distance less than 5 minutes. The breakfast is great. Swimming pool & Gym room is clean. However, counter service shall be improved. Arrive early in the morning, front desk (a girl) never greet and smile to us, we feel like not welcome. As a gold Accorhotel member, we request to check in earlier but was informed there is no available room and our room is not ready (only available at 1pm), therefore we wait at hotel lobby for 2 hours (until 11am), during that period few guests were able to check in and go to their room, then we approach front desk to clarify and was informed the room are ready?!

Welcome overall warm and friendly. Very well placed to visit Singapore… on foot and/or by Metro.
Superior Room rather large but little storage. The sink in the entrance and the shower in direct access to the room require complete privacy!
Full breakfast But why not Nature yogurts? What flavored, chemical? Room too air-conditioned.

— No instruction on the Wifi on arrival — no instruction to contact the reception by phone (— button receiving the phone inoperable) Fortunately a call number for the Manager was provided — no instruction to use the laptop set to Disposition (good idea but without notice or explanation…)
— difficulty in recovering his laundry (probably related to misunderstanding on bail) — good standing but difficult to find a place for a snack with my Clients (damage) (no service on the terrace?
— first two-storey room experience: I do not find it very comfortable and the space gain is not glaring to the customer — good standing and very nice pool.

We booked the Loft room type for 3 nights while the formula 1 was held in Singapore. The hotel was decorated for the formula 1 flags which we thought looked really great. We were able to see the city from our room with wide glass window. The Loft room design makes the room look bigger because of the high ceilings. Also the rooftop looking over the city at night time was so quiet and peaceful with an amazing views of the lights from the buildings around. The staff were so professional, kind and helpful.

The hotel is very helpful and friendly staff ready to help with all questions. Interesting design of the lobby. Lovely terrace on the roof where we sat before going to sleep. The lovely pool. Everything is very clean. We were satisfied.

The room is very small and thus we felt our twin-sharing room is actually more suitable for one person. However we had to agree that given the space constraints the design was practical and well thought out. The beds are also comfortable. The most important thing to us was the great service. Checking in was very comfortable as the staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge was also very cheerful and kind.

After staying in hostels for 3 weeks, the hotel was a breath of fresh air. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional. Nothing was too much trouble! The hotel itself was clean and the room had everything you would ever need. The pool was amazing, as was the roof top garden (even better at night! ).

Paid for executive suite and to enjoy the executive experience only to know that my kids are not allowed into the executive lounge as they are under 12 years old. If there is such a clause, it should be cleared stated in the website before we pay for it. Understand that other guests might prefer quiet dining, however, there should be a separate area allocated for family with kids who paid for the facilities. Air condition at the upper deck was terrible as the ventilation was bad. Turning up the air conditioner didn't work either as it became bit too cold in the night. : (

Visit for business purpose and stay 4 night in this hotel. Staff was helpful. Rooms are compact (comparing to standard city hotels/ same rate hotels). Location was perfect to access city and public transport facilities. Mostly same menu in breakfast. Recommend for business purpose visitors if your not stay long period time in the hotel and room.

The hotel location is great. Room is clean and modern. Free phone is very handy. The loft room is very small. Having the bed upstairs left no room to place my luggage and still have somewhere to sit and get dressed. Maybe having a fold-out luggage stand would have helped.

Overall I just love staying in Mercure Bugis. Love the ambience, the art and the interior design of all the rooms. I already stayed twice in the loft room and once in the standard room. The breakfast also good enough. I also love the pool, but the last time I came, the whirlpool was not working. Besides the hotel ambience, I also love the surrounding, near the Bugis market, Bugis Junction, Bugis mall, Albert park… Just love staying here and will surely come again soon. Anyway, the bathroom is so small.

An enjoyable pleasant stay. The executive lounge was a very relaxing area, and the ladies were most pleasant and helpful at all times. As the restaurant was next door to the lounge, it was lovely to be able to order an evening meal, and have it delivered to the lounge. The on-arrival 'welcome' drink, down on the ground floor, at the bar, was great. Although we had booked a loft room, on arrival it was suggested we take another room as the stairs may not have been well suited to us as we were in the 'older' age bracket. We appreciated that suggestion.

New Hotel, Clean, but the room and bathroom too small. More like Ibis class than Mercure class. Just because have Pool, which not every guest use, the price is higher 30% — 40% than Ibis near there. Good Location. Walking distance to MRT. Lack of Sign, like sign the way to Lobby. Because the Lobby is Behind Middle Road. No Sign or Lamp for call a TAXI, so make Bell boy should call taxi use phone, make guest should pay EXTRA about $3, 5, which can avoid with Taxi Call Lamp Sign. Small and simple thing but important.

The room and location were good. Unusual layout with the bathroom sink in the room and the shower and toilet in their own glass walled rooms, but it worked fine for us. The rooftop area and the pool were beautiful. The privilege lounge was small, but when we were there it was quiet, so there were no problems. The breakfast room was too small and cluttered. The only problem we experienced was being locked out of our room in our swimming gear, because our keys hadn't been programmed to reflect our late checkout. We would definitely stay again.

Toilet cubicle door jammed by plastic sealing strip. Previous guest had pushed to open and pulled to open Unclean toilet on arrival. Ineffective flush No toilet brush Comfortable bed. Good desk Coffee and tea but no milk Light blanket option needed. Duvet too hot Buffet breakfast only just passable. Evening dining room service only just passable Evening meal only just passable and once was enough Front desk and concierge service excellent We would not recommend Mercure Bugis or stay in it again.

The facilities in the hotel are good. I liked the infinity pool and the rooftop garden with good views around the area. The loft room is a bit small. But it is okay for two people. I found the location close to shopping centre and Bugis station convenient. I enjoyed my stay here and I would come back again when in Singapore.

Stayed for 6 nights with work. Nice clean hotel, amazing service as always in Singapore. Pool was nice. Gym is small and only a few machines. I stayed in a twin room which was quite small so not much room for luggage if there are two people staying there. Very convenient location!

All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and professional. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location with Albert St and Bugis shopping center so close. I know there was a mobile phone in the room, but as a tech challenged short stay tourist, some day trip type brochures would be handy & easier for people like me to take advantage of some great sightseeing in Singapore. Thanks for a great stay, I would recommend Mecure Bugis!

My third stay at the Mercure Bugis. Really enjoy staying there. Excellent hotel in a good location. Only a few stops on the MRT to the popular city and marina bay attractions. If you are feeling energetic, it is not too far to walk. Breakfast both mornings was very good with plenty of choice. Recommended.

Over all it was a modest stay at Mercure. I stayed there for more than 2 weeks. I appreciate the slice of cake for my birthday which I didn't expect. I value the professionalism of Mercure with regards to our bill which had some problems. The chicken is the only thing I eat during breakfast, because the Bacon was a bit hard normally I'd expect it to be crispy. For the Inconsistent Service, I'd say it is the mini bar refill, the laundry bags not given daily and sometime without the paper to list the items, the card not always functioning for the elevator, the complementary water which is not everyday given. (I also asked for a battery for the weighing scale because it was not working, I requested it during day 2 but even as I checkout that request was never given action) The complementary water is very important for me because our office where I am working there is no water so I only rely on this. If I am asked if I would choose Mercure for stay, I'd say yes expecting these things are solved. Another thing is the knowledge of Employees with Policies, I am from and asked about the complementary things for and different staff gave different answers which was confusing and also hinders me to fully enjoy the complementary items fearing I may actually need to pay for it. For business trip guests I dislike the idea of having so little space to place my clothes and items.

Was really impressed with the attention to detail in the amenities and decor of the hotel and rooms. Really liked the number of outdoor spaces for guests to relax in. Loved the pool and rooftop deck which was great to get to see the city from that perspective. Clean space, room was big enough to spread out a little and base from for a few days. Staff were friendly and helpful. All round great experience.

We stayed at this property for 3 night for a stopover on the way home. We usually stay at he Grand Mercure Roxy but thought we would try the new and more central Mercure Bugis. The service and the staff in all departments were magnificent particularly Jay, Young and Lindsay; they were all exceptionally efficient, friendly, attentive and professional and were always prepared to go the extra mile,. The pool and rooftop area provide stunning views over the city and are both a sanctuary away from the heat and bustle of the street. The foyer and the Executive Lounge were also areas that were pleasant, peaceful and enjoyable. Unexpectedly we found the room very small and cramped. When we agreed to a loft room, we expected stairs to the loft sleeping area, but found it difficult getting in and out of bed (particularly out, as the mattress was on the floor). The room was very sparsely furnished with just one chair and nowhere for the second person to sit other than on the stairs. There was limited hanging space, shelves or other storage area. We were able to survive for our 3 night stay, but an extended stay would be more of a struggle in the very restricted room space.

The hotel was well positioned. Staff were exceptional; all staff. Restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner. Issues: 1) Mosquitoes in my room every day. Day 1 was the worst, I killed 6 and the lowest day kill-count was 3. 2) Chair with no backrest 3) Limiting hanging space. OK for one person. 4) A lot of clutter taking up bench space (tea, coffee, kettle, shampoos etc). 5) Limited computer work area; I realise that I could have upgraded the room for more space. Very nice and warm welcome. We were allowed to go directly in our room, even is was early in the morning. Room is not very bid, but due to the fact that the bed is located upstairs it was not to tiny. What we missed was a closet where we could store some clothes. It was not enough space to open 2 suitcases at the same time, so dressing was a bit of a challenge. Very uncomfortable was the open toilet, never had this and even I am married now for 25 years, I was not willing to share the bathroom experience with my husband. Luckily there are enough bathrooms in the other open areas like lobby, pool or chill area on the roof top. The location of the hotel itself was to. Bugis junction was the nearest MRT station with a minute walk, big mall at the station. We would recommend the hotel, was a very pleasant stay overall.

We had to alter our planned stay at the last moment and there was a quick reply from Law Yum Pheng, Jayne the Senior Reservation Executive to our changed dates. On arrival at the hotel Brandon? Brendon? was extremely accommodating and had been informed of the altered arrangements. The check in staff were very friendly and efficient. The rooms although on the smaller size were very clean, provided for all our needs and the beds wonderfully comfortable. Housekeeping staff were friendly and quickly responded to any extra request as well as servicing the room daily in an efficient yet non-intrusive manner. We had breakfast at the hotel daily and all staff were welcoming, friendly and displayed polite and efficient service. The chefs were particularly congenial and it was wonderful to see them interact with the patrons, especially some of the children who were staying in the hotel. Check out was quick and efficient and the concierge ensured there was a taxi within a short amount of time for us to use for transport to the airport. Overall a relaxing stay for us. We also loved the location and easy access to transport.

Nice hotel, check in was a breeze. Just some concerns: — no one was manning the bar on Saturday night. We had to wait for over 30 minutes before getting service. — staff sometimes knocks then just opens the doors w/o waiting for answer. — there's no trash can in the toilet. We were forced to flush used tissues in the toilet bowl. Bidets would also be appreciated.

The Mercure Singapore Bugis is a new and quite modern hotel in the Bugis district. The Bugis Metro station is located in the immediate vicinity, which is very well connected to the city centre and the airport.
The rooms are very modern and brightly decorated. The pool on the 7th floor can also be seen and offers a very nice view of the district. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful on arrival.
I can only recommend this hotel to everyone for a short trip to Singapore.
