I honestly hate to give this hotel a 4 star review (I actually want to give it a 4.5 star review but TA doesn't do half stars). I stayed two nights at this hotel and honestly it was excellent in almost everyway but with just one shortcoming. The service at this hotel is impeccable and the rooms are fantastic. My room was spotless and everything was modern. I was located in the annex. The public spaces in the hotel were also excellent. Breakfast was also very good one of the better ones I had in Spain on this trip.
The only negative was the wireless internet access. There was basically very little coverage in my room. Unless I was in the entry way (which had no place to sit other than a step) I either had no or very slow internet access depending on the device I was using. In the entry way the internet worked reliably but it was still slow. For the level this hotel is at I would expect solid and fast internet and I didn't have it. For that I need to knock off a half a star but since I cannot do that I'll round down to four stars. Outside of that one issue this hotel was flawless.
Lovely smallish hotel right in the heart of the old town — best possible location for the best restaurants in Malaga. Lovely room, nice little bar area for hanging out and staff all very friendly. Everything was absolutely spotless. Room (Palacio suite) was spacious and all well lit (unusual these days! ). Rainfall shower was great. Breakfast was very good — buffet plus eggs, etc cooked to order. A small tip — make sure you ask for water in the room — we didn't have any left for us on the first day and had to resort to the minibar (4Euros a bottle). We'd happily stay here again next time we visit.
