I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wild Edge Wilpattu, a beautiful hotel located just a short walk from Wilpattu National Park. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the hotel's stunning location and comfortable accommodations.

I recently stayed at this beautiful property, Wild Edge, located literally on the edge of the Wilpattu and had an absolutely amazing experience! The property is situated in a stunning location, with breathtaking views of the surrounding paddy fields. What's more, we were lucky enough to spot elephants wandering around the property on occasion — an unforgettable experience!
The hotel's eco-friendly concept was also a big plus for us. We loved being able to enjoy the rustic setting while still feeling like we were doing our part to preserve the environment. And the abundance of birds and other wildlife was just incredible — we even heard alarm calls from spotted deer at night, suggesting that leopards were lurking nearby.
The place is managed by a young boy named Dilshan. Dilshan was an exceptional host, not only did he prepare delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan food for us but he also helped us have an incredible safari experience. As an experienced safari driver himself, he had an in-depth knowledge of the park and its inhabitants, which made for a truly unforgettable safari adventure.
Of course, it's worth noting that this hotel is definitely for those who appreciate a more rustic and an eco-friendly experience. However, if you're looking for a super-luxurious stay, this might not be the place for you. But if you're after a unique and unforgettable Sri Lankan adventure, I can't recommend this place highly enough!

One of the best places close to Wilpattu national park, and the place is built with at a calm beautiful location with a paddy field view and a nice cool breeze to chill you down.
Its a decent place that you can visit twice and recommand to a friend without a hassle. Specially recommand if you area wildlife enthusiast and like to break off from the concrete jungle.
Very nice place and hope to visit again soon.

I've been one of the lucky few guests to be here first. We instantly loved the location and the surroundings. Rooms are very neat with attached bathrooms. It's very convenient as this is walking distance from Wilpaththu entrance. Enjoyed every moment here…
