Our stay with our family was amazing. Great location, heated patio, cocktail hour and even hot chocolate for the kids!

We stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here. The staff were all very pleasant to us and our dog. Definitely will return! Extremely clean, Quiet rooms and perfect location.

The staff is so friendly, accomodating and helpful! Great hotel with clean and spacious rooms. My only complaint is that there is no jacuzzi in the pool area. It's pet and kid friendly and it has a nice bar area. I definitely want to come back!

This hotel is very classy. The front desk is very friendly, polite, and super helpful. Rooms are very nice, some have soaker tubs and stand-up showers. Very clean. Style is hip-modern feel with a touch of old school elegance.

A very classy hotel. I was given an upgraded room as an IHG member and I was very pleased. Very spacious and the bathroom was my favourite room. A very well equipped gym and in fact everything was classy. Staff was very helpful and very kind. I truly enjoyed my stay.

No complaints about the hotel. Most staff was friendly and courteous. Room was decent sized and comfortable. Only complaint was room service and in-room snack bar was a bit more expensive than similar hotels I've stayed at in the area.

Excellent staff, very considerate. Sarah at the front desk checked us in. She was the friendliest reception staffer I've seen at any hotel recently — a perfect welcome to Chicago. Everyone from the room service, housekeeping, to the doorman was exceptional. Thank you guys for making us repeat Kimpton guests. Sarah — thank you so much for the thoughtful gift! Besides the staff, the hotel is in an excellent location — short walk to Michigan ave and Navy Pier. The rooms are well appointed. While we didn't have the best view from our room, the pool and patio have perfect views, great to relax by the water or lounge around. Noise is a consideration, but to be expected being in downtown Chicago. Ambulances, firetrucks, and generally noisy partiers over the weekend. Great stay overall.

Meh. Overrated and expensive. Couldn’t find our reservation when we checked in even with my confirmation number. Had to call over another person and it took a few minutes to resolve while we waited with bated breath to see if we would get a room. Finally got a room. Room size ok, but you have to request a coffee maker. No hand soap in our room. Took 20 minutes for someone to bring something up. Room size was ok and was nicely appointed. Shower had no water pressure and took forever to get clean. Wasn’t worth the 50, 000 points I had to use to pay for it, but thank goodness I didn’t pay the $450 rate. The wine happy hour was nice at least.

This hotel is in an absolutely great location, in downtown Chicago. It’s walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping. The bellmen are super friendly. When I was leaving one saw I had a lot of stuff. I planned on walking, and he insisted on me letting the driver that was just waiting, take me around the corner where I needed to pick up my car. Both men were very polite. The room was nice and all areas including the bathroom were clean. I also used the gym, which was pretty decent compared to other gyms. Additionally, the pool and terrace were nice as well. Though I never ate at the restaurant or grabbed a drink from the bar, both areas appeared to be fun places to dine at and have a drink. My only complaint would be that I called the front desk to make sure housekeeping made it to my room while I was out, since I accidentally left the do not disturb sign on the door. The lady at the front desk said she’d take care of it, but my room never got cleaned that day.

I had to give a 5-star review just so they wouldn't have 666 reviews. I'm staying there tonight and didn't want to stay at a place with any bad luck. 667…

The service is great, and location is amazing. The room is massive and beautiful. The gym is pretty good for a hotel gym. The food served is very good and if I were to return to Chicago, this would be the hotel. It's surrounded by nearby restaurants all over the place that are amazing and it's a short cab ride to many museums like the Art Institute of Chicago and other things.

Let me start by saying that we absolutely love this hotel! We have stayed there a bunch of times and everything from the location to the amenities and restaurant… and most especially the staff is beyond wonderful. During this last visit, due to some confusion and a hasty departure, we left behind a suitcase outside of our Uber, and also in our room, a cherished teddy bear that was loved by my 22 year old son and later by his 9 year old little brother. The hotel made the return of our suitcase a very easy fix. As for our bear, Sarah from lost and found went so over and above what anyone could expect and was so incredibly sensitive to the situation of leaving behind a beloved stuffed animal, including following up with personal phone calls and email updates. Unbelievably, due to her persistence, the bear was located at the laundry company and returned to us in an adorable manner, including a note about how he had fun in Chicago, but missed his owner. This hotel and Kimpton has a customer for life! And Sarah, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

Wonderful staff! Feels very cramped inside. Room was comfortable and amenities were adequate but I was surprised there was no coffee maker in the room.

I spent one night at the Kimpton and everything was provided exactly as needed. The rooms were spotless and quiet. The staff is extremely helpful; the smoke detector in my room was out of battery and they came to my room to immediately change it. Nothing more I'd expect out of the stay.

Gorgeous, large room (we were in a King Spa Room) with deep soaking tub in bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows. Quick, tasty room service. Front desk staff was kind and attentive. The location is amazing, it is so close to everything you want to see and do, amazing restaurants, and easy to get where you need to go via Lyft/Uber or train.

Really nice hotel. Lobby is tiny, but it is connected to sable's bar. Lobby does have a nice fireplace. Appears to have free wine that ends at 6pm. Rooms are big and nice. Has a pool and a decent hotel gym. In summer has a rooftop terrace on the 17th floor that looks nice. Solid 4 star hotel, would have no reservations suggesting others to stay here.

Very crafty cocktails here. Would recommend if you're into trying different takes of well known cocktails or ones you've never tried. This place seems busy all the time so you may want to plan ahead.

Didn't stay at the hotel but when in town I frequent Sable Kitchen & Bar located at the hotel. Don't get caught up that this is a "hotel bar". It's top notch when it comes to food and especially cocktails and spirits selection. Get in there!

I love visiting Chicago a few times a year… I lived there many years ago & miss lots of things, so now I enjoy experiencing different hotels & staying in various areas of the city. The Palomar was so exceptional~ from the saltwater pool on the top floor with cool blue lighting, to the city views, the design, the outstanding staff, & all around perfect everything! I wished I could have stayed longer & can’t wait to return. The morning coffee in the lobby with selection of soy & half & half, plus my favorite kind of sugar, to the wine hour, to the yoga mats & meditation videos — even my child got a little backpack & a gift. It’s like this hotel was made for me! I also loved that heated outdoor patio even though I didn’t get a chance to use it. This is now my favorite hotel in Chicago!

Very pleasant experience. Today was very very cold and the hotel offered free wine (red/white) and hot cocoa for free. Staffs (front desk/valet parking staff) are very professional and kind. We called a front desk to deliver us a key for the mini bar and it took a less than 2 minutes for a staff to come to hand it to us, very impressive! Hotel room had high ceiling and I liked the painting in the room also. Indoor pool looks great but didn't have jacuzzi but the other nice hotel in Chicago didn't have it so maybe it's just Chicago thing. I really liked huge window in our room, very New York style. Money was worth it!

An impressive hotel. Centrally located and within walking distance to all central attractions and also the subway. The welcome was warm and friendly the bedroom was warm & fresh. Rooms are a good size with plenty of room to work and move around. There a pool and gym located on the top floor. Overall a very good stay in a very good 4* hotel.

The rooms here are beautifully designed. Makes you feel like your in a home away from home. Its so comfortable and close to everything downtown.

The hotel is centrally located and well serviced by transport and entertainment. Included in the hotel is a very comfortable lounge for social or business meetings and also provides evening drinks. The Sabre bar and dinner venue is professionally serviced and high in quality. Should we be in Chicago again, and being professional travellers, we would most definitely stay again.

This hotel is gorgeous! My favorite Kimpton property in Chicago. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms feature a stunning bar wood door with a mirror, huge showers, plenty of space to move about. The gym is really nice and fully functional for business travelers and there is a pool as well! Both are located on the top floor with expansive views of the city. Meeting space is lovely and flexible. The wrap around terrace makes such a difference. The chandeliers are my favorite feature.

Stayed here for the Chicago marathon and I couldn't rave any more about this place if I tried! Staff were amazing. The amenities were on point. Most comfortable beds and such a central location. Also the hotel restaurant is top notch too!

Favorite hotel in Chicago — the people who work here make every stay absolutely special. I brought my mom here for a night to celebrate her final chemo treatment, and the kindness of the staff was so beyond what I expected or imagined. I am loyal for life and recommend this lovely, perfectly located boutique hotel every chance I get.

This is a very nice hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms were very clean and well-appointed. Centrally located in River North, so it is easy to get anywhere in the city in a short period of time. Would stay at this hotel again.

Location was great we went to wrigely field red line station was across from the hotel and hotel was close to the magnificent mile. I would stay at this hotel again.

Rooms were a little small but we knew that going in. 5 stars for what it is! everything was clean. The windows opened, bed and pillows comfy, big enough shower, chill staff, a/c functional, slightly tacky but kinda adorable decor. Again, everything was very clean and functional. Modern decor. What else do you want in an affordable hotel downtown really?

Love Kimpton hotels and this one did not disappoint. Friendly and professional staff. Start off with the valet welcoming us as though we were old friends. Next, we meet up with the desk clerk and she was super friendly and totally excited for why we were visiting Chicago. Our room was wonderful. Great style, very spacious and awesome floor to ceiling windows. Location is great too. We were a short walk or Uber ride from where we wanted to go. Will definitely stay here again!

Great hotel. Customer service was top notch, they upgraded my room to a bigger size for free because they were 5 minutes late with the room. Very prompt room service. They were very accommodating with special requests as I asked to leave my car at the valet parking after checking out and they were ok with that. The room itself was clean and great with a Jacuzzi. It also came with the usual stuff like mini bar, bathrobes, etc. Highly recommended!

Not a bad hotel, but I'm not sure there's the delivery on the price. Everything is fairly maintained, amenities are middle of the road. The cleanliness is something that can be improved on greatly. Probably the high point about this hotel is the friendliness of the front desk. All in all, I wouldn't pay this much to stay here again.

I did a LOT of research for our wedding reception venue. The minute I met Alyssa, Director of Catering at Hotel Palomar, my search was over! Alyssa was a total Godsend for our wedding planning. And that was just the beginning of our flawless experience with Hotel Palomar. Every step in the planning process Alyssa and the team at Palomar were there to make things easy, fun, and memorable. They were also very accommodating to all of our requests. Many of our guests were coming from out of town so we wanted them to experience what downtown Chicago is all about. The location of Hotel Palomar couldn’t be better in the heart of River North with a plethora of restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. The ballroom is also amazing. It has floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the room so you get amazing city views, which was key for us. No stuffy conference room feel. There is also a balcony off the ballroom so your guests can get a breath of fresh air or take a break from dancing without leaving the party. Finally, the upgraded features that come standard with your reception package such as satin table linens and beautiful gold plate chargers make the need to decorate the space minimal. Bonus, the staff will set the tables with your décor. One less thing to worry about! The food! I think our favorite part of wedding planning was our tasting at Sable — Trying all the amazing appetizers and entrée options and creating our signature cocktail. So. Much. FUN!

This is my go-to Chicago hotel. It is in a great location and it is an overall beautiful hotel. It has a very nice pool and a balcony offering tremendous VIEWS of the city skyline. The rooms are fairly small but are very nice, clean, and modern. The price is fair for the downtown location and hotel amenities.

The hotel was amazing. Got the premier king spa room and had a wonderful time in the hot tub. Everything was super clean and put together. Was my first time being at a boutique hotel and it was truly a unique experience. I will definitely return.

I've stayed here several times. The first time I visited was great and I had absolutely no complaints. The most recent visit wasn't as great as I had noisy neighbors and anytime anyone would talk in the hallways, it was very apparent. The doors are definitely not sound proof. That so far has been the only drawback. Otherwise, it's a good hotel in a great location.

Had a wonderful stay at Palomar while celebrating an anniversary. Room was exactly as described and very clean. Bed/mattress was one of the most comfortable out of any hotel we've been to. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They made sure to make our celebration memorable. Sable Kitchen, the restaurant at the hotel, has a phenomenal drink menu. A stop there is a must!

Stayed at the hotel for a week so far and the location and view are fantastic. The service at the desk has been spotty, both times I stayed I'd had trouble checking in and not had keys work. Overall it is a nice, clean, hotel/appartment with full amenities.

Only stayed there one night on a roadtrip, but wish we could've stayed longer! Great with our pets.

When I came out here for a job interview, I stayed at the hotel. What a fantastic way to start my life with the city of San Francisco! Nice without being too touristy. For me to enjoy a hotel it must not be a) cheesy b) lame c) snobby and the Argonaut is not one single part any of these things. BONUS: adorable and sweet wait staff out front and a tasty restaurant adjoined.

I stayed at the hotel for the first time and my first visit to IL. Everyone was really helpful and nice! Loved the hotel, great customer service from everyone working there and would definitely come back again! Also, the hotel is located right in the middle of everything so very convenient to get around!

Rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is courteous and prompt. My only complaint is the thermostat doesn't allow you to turn it down below 72 degrees. This was my 2nd stay and the first time I thought it was just user error. This time I was determined to figure it out. Nope. Each I turned it down it would reset to 72. Comfort is a big deal and being borderline hot and sweaty in a room with no windows to open isn't pleasant. Please fix!

We stayed in the suite with the fuji jacuzzi tub. The tub was great and sat two people very comfortably. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is well located with easy walks to the different sights we wanted to see. The rooms were very clean. If I ever came back to chicago, I would strongly consider returning to the palomar.

Great location and staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Starting 1 am there were sirens every 20-30 minutes until about 4 am. Despite the comfort of the bed nothing could overcome the noise. I didn't fall back to sleep until 4:30 am. Having lived in Chicago for many years and being a frequent visitor I have never encountered this problem. Sounds of the city don't faze me, but this was awful. Even my husband who is a heavy sleeper was up, but not as affected. If you stay here and are a light sleeper ask for a more quiet room although not sure it's possible. Also noticed there was an urgent care center very close so it's likely a destination for ambulance/squads.

Very nice location downtown to where you could comfortably walk to each destination with ease, and they have a very helpful and courteous staff that made our experience great!

This place is the best. We had our daughter and son in law's wedding reception there in September. It could not have been better. We live in Kansas City so we thought the planning process would be stressful but that wasn't the case at all. Alyssa — the director of catering — was always a step ahead of us and was very responsive. She was the main reason we chose the Palomar in the first place. The food was excellent and the servers were great. We were at the hotel for the entire Labor Day weekend. The rooms and staff were top notch. If we had to do it over we wouldn't change a thing.

Excellent service and very friendly. If you are going to dine forget satisfied a sample of deer charge you to it as if it were the whole animal.
