Checking was super easy and the team on duty was very helpful, particularly as we had several requests. The room was nice, although a bit older. We had some issues with outlets that didn't work, but they immediately sent a worker out to help us. The hotel had several nice looking restaurants, but they were very expensive and we ended up going other places to eat. The lobby featured the usual gambling and smelled of cigarettes. However once we were out of the lobby area the smell quickly disappeared. Overall, it's a very nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms were quiet and housekeeping did a nice job cleaning up. Also the hotel is very close to lots of the other resorts and several shopping area, so it's very convenient. Recommended.

My experience when we first checked-in was going to get a 1 star review because of the long check-in (30 minute wait time) and an upgraded room that had a lot of issues. Ivory at the front desk flipped my whole stay around especially for my 21st birthday. He was understanding of my issues and resolved them with outstanding customer service. Definitely would come back because of his friendly, energetic, and hospitable personality. Ivory, thank you so much for making my golden birthday one for the books and appreciate all you did for me! :)

Tropicana is a beautiful original Vegas hotel. It isn't nearly as flashy as the other ones you think of when you think about Vegas, but the character is all there. I stayed in a standard room for a business conference and although it was VERY standard, it was still an amazing room. The food in the hotel is amazing and the views of the MGM and the NY NY across the street were magnificent. Great first trip to Vegas and I would totally stay here again.

Great structure and nice rooms.

The hotel was fine but nothing special. The beds were pretty comfortable and our view was awesome. We went to the pool and got there right when it opened, if we had been there later it would've been impossible to find seating. The little Italian breakfast place in the hotel was average at best and crazy overpriced. The staff was all very friendly though, and everything was kept really clean. Overall it was a fine experience but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

Much nicer than expected. And I mean no disrespect! But I know this is an older hotel. The room is very nice though! Would definitely stay here again. Close to the Monorail right at MGM too!

What a really nice and classy hotel. Everything in here is White. I love the layout. The back area and pool side looks really nice. Love the trees out there. The front desk lady was nice and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here. Great location too!

Good food, but the slots have gotten a lot tighter since the last time we were here. But then again, it's been awhile, too. Just make sure you've got it to lose if you plan on gambling on the strip! Not only that, but things have gotten pretty expensive, too. Definitely not the Vegas of old. However the service is impeccable, second to none. And the sights are something to behold.

This hotel has an excellent location on the strip, and best of all, free parking. The entertainment here was fabulous. Went to the Rich Little show at the Laugh Factory there and I have to say that it was one of the best shows I have seen on my many trips to Las Vegas. Rich is an icon in my book and I was impressed that he met with and took pictures with all audience members. True class at one iconic Vegas hotels.

Very nice hotel and very careful.

Very affordable, excellent service and very good food.

I’ll start with the good. Room was nice had a bungalow king with balcony. Okay view. Bed was Comfy room clean. The casino it’s self is dated and could use some upgrades but overall was fine. Now the bad. We booked this hotel specifically because it was a VIP+ Hotel via Expedia. That was supposed to entail a comp room upgrade, and some other bonuses such as 2/1 drinks and food. We received none of that. On top of that as Hilton honours member was never brought up and did not receive our cookies. Not the end of the world. The check in clerk when we asked about upgrading said this is the room you booked this is what you get. We have no other rooms available. Which was false. As we could go on there website and book any better rooms they had. We did revive an email from the hotel saying they were going to fix up our issues but, that did not happen before we checked out.

Old. Staff was average. Room was cheap. Had a good breakfast at an Italian place that's in the walkway between the casino and the tower. Won't be my 1st Choice and if you're picky look elsewhere. I'd stay here again if the price was right but I wouldn't bring my wife here.

Truth be told, this place doesn't look like Las Vegas BLVD. I mean, it's not very nice, no fame, it's not a fancy place, but it does. The girls who bring you the drinks while you play the machines are majas. I think if you're looking for where to stay in Las Vegas BLVD. And you don't want to pay too much, maybe this place is worth it… but I would recommend looking for another that you get cheap that also is more centralized. A lot of people don't realize the distance between one side of the avenue to the other.

Nice hotel, on the Strip! and cheap.

First time staying at a non MGM property, and it was a mistake. Dirty room. Trash still left in both bins. Used bar soap. Lazily made bed with sheets that I'd bet anything weren't changed after the last guest! Forgive me MGM, for I have sinned. Back to the Signature Towers. Just left this property yesterday. They had not just a dirty, but a FILTHY carpet too that needs to be washed.

Hotel with two facilities with ample parking, local for the game and for smokers, two places to eat and a nice swimming pool with well provided relax area,,, if you want to get married here you can do it, C is the chapel…

I am disabled and the Tropicana was absolutely fantastic and assisting me. Even provided me with a scooter that had the ability to travel outside and around the strip of Las Vegas. They were absolutely wonderful people and treated us like we were celebrities. As with any place in Las Vegas, be prepared to spend money, even if you don't Gamble.

Reasonably priced rooms and free parking helped the Tropicana stand out from other strip hotels. Shower head was raised, which is great for those of us over 6 feet tall. Budget priced eateries leave much to be desired, both in food quality and price. Casino floor was rather small, mostly populated by video slots, very few of which were less than 5 years old. Still, the air is less smokey than bigger casinos with higher ceilings, which is pleasant and access to 3 other high profile resorts are easily walkable thanks to sky bridges that avoid all of the strip's traffic. A free, warm chocolate chip cookie at check in was a nice touch too.

Good value for money. The hotel is located south of the strip, completely renovated about 5 years ago. He's at the crossroads of MGM Grand and New York, New York.

Average Hotel in Las Vegas, Room paid the right, nice wide and furnished in classic American style (so carpeting everywhere). Like almost anywhere in the U. S. A. The resort fee. Nice pool surrounded by palm trees, towels for sunbeds are free and personal. All in all a good hotel.

The room was better than expected. It was clean, comfortable and big. The lower cost food options are my only complaint.

Hotel is great staff is incredibly friendly especially April at the front desk. The casino is great if you don't like getting lost in a maze this casino is by far the most inviting casino on the strip. My only complaint was I had to be in the smoking room for a night and the whole floor smelt of weed. But other than that great hotel and great staff will definitely stay there again.

Very nice hotel and casino. The rooms were clean and well maintained, however, they were pretty outdated and the bathrooms could use new toilets. The whole place smelled vaguely of cigar smoke, which was not bad, but worth mentioning. Guests could get a free breakfast at the buffet, but it was limited to two per room per day. There were other food places, including a Starbucks, and plenty of free parking. Overall a very nice hotel with good service, central to the Vegas strip.

Latino families, I recommend you do not enter this hotel, racism and discrimination towards us is muuuuuy big here on the part of the security of the hotel lobby (casino area) attached I leave some photos of the security, which we took out of the casino There were several excuses I use but the clearest was for not being hosted here but in the most vergonsosa way, as we escorted Asta outside and sent another security in Bisicleta to ensure that we leave the place completely, and when you take the photo of the hotel They come out in the photo because they tried to stop me from taking it by telling me that this proibido take pictures too. The parking is free very few in this area are, what I do not understand is for what? If you can not play in the casino if you are not a guest there.

Chic Hotel with its own casino and wonderful shows. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

Located on the strip; Courteous service — very good sleeping comfort — view of either the airport or the strip! Central connection via transport service "about" at airport (under 14 dollars for 4 p. )

The Tropicana seems to be an older hotel and seems to have all the amenities one would expect a hotel casino to have. The main issue most of us had was that staying the other tower (Club Tower) means you have to walk a quarter mile to the entrance and exit. Secondly, the casino is still allows smoking, so whether you stay in the closer entranced Paradise Tower or the Club Tower, you end up smelling like smoke. So if you're here on real business (not business and play), this hotel may not be the one for you. There is a door closer to the Club Tower, but during my stay, it was roped off to guests. I ended up having to leave the hotel early because I didn't want to attend meetings smelling like a casino. Also, they don't have refrigerators or microwaves, so I would say this is strictly a weekender hotel.

Excellent hotel. Very good attention, but charge for receiving packages from AMAZON and receive them on a very limited schedule as they subcontracted a transport company to receive them and do not do more at the front desk. A real shame, the rest is all excellent.

The Tropicana is one of the most cheap hotels on the strip for a while the room that overlooked the strip was not even properly air conditioned. That said it is ideally located in the center of the strip and offers a more festive atmosphere than the surrounding hotels.
The prices are reasonable and I'm not sure they impose a mandatory package in addition to the booked night as it has become the norm everywhere else.

Decent. Good value for Money. It is old and you can feel it. No fridge/coffee maker in room, and they charge you 30$/day for each if you ask for it, which is a total ripoff. That is after they charge you 37$ per day as resort charges on top of the stuff you already paid, which is another way to rip you off. Was provided with just two towels, no shower cap. Also, no curtains in the room, so good luck if you need dark to sleep. The windows are not soundproof and you can hear planes all night. Doesn't feel like a 4 star. More like a 3 star. The casino was not a good experience. The dealers were rude, as if they were doing us a favor by dealing. The cost is good so that is one plus point. Overall, a good value for money.

Budget hotel at the beginning of the Strip. There was once, when just did an overhaul of the hull, but still weak.

Great front desk service. Nice rooms. Taking away a star for the issues I had. The door lock would not work well, even after being checked and cleaned, and it would take several tries to insert and remove the card just right to get it to unlock. The issue was just brushed aside. The other issue was the thermostat quit working sometime during the night. Once I realized that was why it was a bit warm in the room, I called the front desk and they said an engineer would be up soon to take care of it. After waiting 15 minutes, I called again and was told that they have a 30 minutes window. I left to go to work and when I returned 12 hours later, it still hadn't been fixed. The engineer came 20 minutes later and fixed it.

Great hotel and location, without breaking your budget. Room was clean. We stayed in Club tower with city view. It was quiet because it was away from casino area. It was a long walk from the parking lot to our room. I would not recommend this building if you have trouble walking at great length. However, you may want to stay in Paradise Tower. The building is closest to the entrance and parking lot, but more noisy since it is next to casino. Beach Cafe had great food! The Laugh Factory is a great place if you enjoy comedy!

The hotel great location on the strip. All of the staff are wonderful and the security team that helped me get back to my room when I was very weak on my own birthday did a great job. Great housekeeping staff yes they do have late night staff. The front desk did a great job checking me in to my room. Great view of the mountains I loved the view. I give the hotel an A+

After Prefuntar several employees about tickets to the hotel, they all said the only way was through the lobby. I have 2 children and not glad to have to pass them through the casino full.

Negative value for money. 4 * Hotel without refrigerator, courtesy set almost absent: 1 mignon vial of Bubble bath x 2. The worst thing is the price required for additional services, 33 dollars a day per room. Not recommended.

Nice remodel of this iconic property. Had a meal at the Robert Irvine Public House. Great food, friendly servers. It was very busy for a Sunday due to a concert in the area. However, Valet parking was smooth and quick. Will go back to this property. Over heard a table of 4 next to us at dinner. They were staying at the hotel and talking about how nice it was. Even played slots and came out a couple of dollars ahead. Check out the Tropicana on your next Vegas trip.

We love the Tropicana it is the best hotel that we have found in Las Vegas. They have a great lounge with free entertainment on Friday and Saturday. The Laugh Factory is located there and always has great comedians. The rooms are comfortable and always feel fresh. The property is a nice size not too big not too small we always seem to win at the casino we love it there. Plus a new restaurant Robert Irvine's Public House just moved in so that is also another reason to visit Tropicana.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, no fridge. Good beds and pillows. Bridge access to Excalibur and New York. Easy access to the free tram. Nice mix of slot machines, but not the most "young" crowd you will see. Good price point and location to the mgm and others if you are looking for a cheaper hotel with all the amenities. Pool is nice.

Came here for a comedy show which was very good. We used to come here to gamble all the time but it has greatly changed since the remodel and it does not have the character that used to. We travel the Vegas three to four times per year and now prefer to stay at the Orleans. They even have a shuttle to the strip and we love the large rooms & casino.

We love the Tropicana… it is our go to place to gamble when we are in Las Vegas. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. We love the smaller casino area and cocktail waitress can be seen on a regular basis, unlike the larger casinos. Best of all, the newest restaurant in the Trop is Robert Irvine's Public House! We actually got to meet him while dining there. He was there with his wife and was talking and taking pictures with other patrons as well. What a great guy! And the food was to die for! You have to try it! Our casino hostess was such a gem also! This is our second home away from home.

Did not stay here but came to see the magic show. The show was pretty good (Goldrake) and the casino and restrooms looked nice and were clean. Drink prices were higher than elsewhere on the south strip and parking was hard to find. Not complaints but just good to know. Pool area looks really cool too. Wouldn't mind staying here at some point.

This is the place to stay in Reno! If your looking to host an event in Las Vegas, N. V. This is the place to host it! Great atmosphere, all the staff is a very pleasing, accommodating, always projecting a sincere positive attitude, work efficiently and effectively. Everyone is smiling and very friendly. It was the most joyous, event I have ever hosted. This is a first class place from check-in to check-out. You will not be disappointed with the value of an experience at the Tropicana in Las Vegas.

Hotel located very well at the beginning of the Strip, quite vintage with carpeting a bit everywhere. Nice pool area and spacious rooms. The bar fridge is lacking inunderstandably.

The room is spacious, bed made and towels changed every day. Shampoo, after shampoo and body cream provided every day. Bottles of water also.
If you take a room with a balcony without the view of the pool, be aware that the view is lame (hotel rear parking).
Anyway if you don't smoke, you won't get out it's too hot.
OH and cookies offered on arrival really delicious:)

A stripe hotel that looks like many others. Same casino and activities as the others. Well located at the beginning of the stripe. Ideal for walking the entire hotel circuit. Not to be missed.

Great location. Welcoming. Spacious room. Tropical pool.

Correct room. Air conditioned little noisy, which is good. Ordinary King bed. The water drained poorly from the drainage in the bath. Partially clogged Drain = feet in soapy water at the end of the shower. No fridge in the room. A device with two electrical plugs and two USB plugs on the desktop!

Nice room in the middle without many clean claims you are comfortable at the center near the street great solution for those who want to spend very good value for money.

The rooms seem a bit old with flaky paint in the bathroom. And it's shame not to have bay windows to enjoy the view. But other than that a very comfortable hotel and quite well located.

Very big hotel but among the smallest in Las Vegas. Located in a strategic location very close to New York New York right at the beginning of Las Vegas Boulevard. Spacious and bright rooms, discreet casinos inside and several shops. Recommended if you want to stay in Las Vegas avoiding the most noble hotels casino.

First time back since the remodel and it was beautiful. I felt very disappointed however they told me that I would get things comp'd and when it came time to be checked out it didn't pan out that way. The people were nice but I felt as though if you didn't read the fine print and get things in writing that it was going to not be as promised. The casino area was very clean but it seems more like a nice hotel that happened to have some slot machines & a few tables then it really felt like a casino. The rooms were very nice and clean and I really liked the bathroom.

Good hotel and pool but got hustled by employees working the craps table. While gambling me and my friends had a great experience playing Black Jack and Pai Gow — very courteous dealers that helped me learn the game. Next we walked over to the empty craps table, and my friends and I asked to learn. Shortly after I got hustled by the employees. They said that they would help me learn — but within 4 rolls they had convinced me to put $80 on the table while explaining things step by step. However they never mentioned rolling a 7 (the most likely roll) would make me lose all $80. You can guess what happened next. I rolled a 7 and left the table immediately after. Employees told me that I should keep playing and "that's how I learn". I got hustled and never was explained the $80 risk I was taking.

Fun hotel/casino. Visited for a wedding and the venue was/is super pretty. The only complaint is that the room temperatures do not get very cold. I totally understand why they have a max and min temp set points, but it was sometimes too hot and uncomfortable in our room. Staff is super friendly and if you're so inclined to gamble but don't know how, like me, the dealers and such are super helpful. Know why you're coming to the hotel and book your room accordingly because some of the rooms are a good distance from everything else.

I've stayed at the Tropicana twice. This last time, I was not impressed at all. The casino smells like cigarette smoke. I upgraded my room so that I wouldn't have to walk a mile to the club tower. I also paid the additional $29 per night resort fee. The maid service is not very good. They made up one bed and left the other bed unmade and instead of taking the dirty glasses, they left them there and gave us paper cups. The maid also pocketed my brand new designer sunglasses that I bought there in Vegas. I don't recommend this hotel and I certainly won't stay there again. Sad, because I was really impressed with this hotel the last time I stayed there a year and a half ago.

Great pool complex. If you can get a garden room with a balcony, even though the room is dated, you won't be disappointed. Only hotel on the strip with a balcony, big rooms and Caribbean feel. Rooms are cheap and good location on the south strip. Old Vegas experience on the strip.

The rooms were nice and clean. We tried one of the hotel restaurants for a multi-course wine tasting dinner. The quality was impressive and having a different wine with each course was a fun experience. The price per night was very competitive. It's probably one of the cheaper places because it's at the south end of the strip.

We had a problem with shower head in room. Asked front desk to have maintenance fix in the morning. It was noted in their books, but manger Sonia didn't do it. So then we had to wait for maintenance next day so we could shower. Sonia was argumentative. I won't stay here again.

It's a zero star from me. Worst customer service. Sonja, the manager was very rude. She was called to deal with me, my name was on the reservation. But she didn't want to address me, instead she was explaining things to my friend whose name wasn't on the room. She was horrible and knew nothing about customer service. I was very unpleased. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay there. Rooms are dirty and outdated and very poor service.

Pretty nice place to stay in Vegas. I'm an HHonors guest and got a nice upgrade which is always nice. The view was awesome and the room was perfect for our weekend getaway. Lots of construction in the hotel which is nice to see they are improving it.

Rooms feel a little dated. Breakfast for Hilton diamond members was inedible this morning (egg in a bun) — a bit like McDonald's with more grease. Will go elsewhere for the remainder of the trip. In the room there was plenty of space. Beds were comfortable. Limited space in the wardrobe. No real 'extras' in the room — no bath gown or slippers. Infract the only extras were coffee and water. Would be good if there was a towel hook closer to the shower so you don't have to drip across the bathroom. I stayed in the Paradise Tower which is next to the MGM / New York-New York, so there's convenient access to the Strip. All in all, I'll probably stay at one of the bigger hotels if I'm in Vegas again.

I left with more money than I came with and that's all I can ask for. I won my first $60 on a digital roulette machine and then won about $100 at a real blackjack table. The servers serving the drinks were hot! It was one Asian/Hawaiian looking girl that I couldn't take my eyes off of and bought a drink every time she came around. The layout of the casino in itself was a confusing like most casinos and I found myself getting in and getting out with no real issues. The parking lot is confusing because if you go too far you end up at another motel and then you have to go back and go in the garage.

Received a complementary upgrade to a suite. The suite was on the 19th floor and it was spacious. 2 televisions and see rate rooms. Great amenities and service. Also received late check out.

Super father, very friendly people who work there. It is not expensive and super close to the strip.

We have stayed already 2 times in the tropicana 08 and 15 14 have been restored.

Beautiful and very comfortable! Rooms always clean and staff very excellent service! Highly recommended.

It is an old hotel, the casino and the hotel need a urgent renovation remained in the 80 or 90.

We had a suite on two floors, super! Faster check-in. Although there was a bed too little, but the problem was quickly resolved. Super pool. You again!

After 3 weeks we could gain good experience freundlichens staff and clean hotel rooms in the United States, we had to sadly that, also in the United States, exceptions give it at the Tropicana.
We were sent to our room after 30 minutes of waiting for the check-in without the hint of a friendly Word. The rooms were spacious and clean at first glance. Unfortunately that was not on the bathroom. A moldy shower, tiles chipped off and completely defective Sockets.
By having it again 20 minutes at the front desk at, you could ask most humbly that time someone looks at the outlets. Unfortunately, the defect was not eliminated until the end of the stay.
On the question whether it would be possible to be able to Wi-Fi free, widely available in our room was informed us succinctly on the first floor was no Wi-Fi reception, and you can use the LAN cable. My reference to the absence of a LAN connection to our phones was done with a shrug. No word of apology. In really every town there has been Wi-Fi. In Las Vegas we were allowed to come 4th in the corridor put us in stock to few times a few minutes on the Internet.
The pool area is that only 1 of the 3 pool area were open, was packed this very nice also if it's slightly disconcerting.
The casino was clean and OK even if it was rather conservative compared to other hotels.
All in all, it was a disappointing stay.
