I only went for the cocktail/rooftop not the hotel. The first floor looked really cool it had this playfully decorated outdoor area with tents and events are held there. The rooftop was a very pretty but relatively standard rooftop. The drinks were ok. The main reason I didn't give the place more stars was because the drinks were very over priced even for Soho it's a bit far from everything because of it's location near the Holland tunnel and there are a lot better Soho options that are prettier and more centrally situated and a better price.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home and welcome. The hotel has so many great indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy, the rooms were very nice & the staff was accommodating and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come again. Thanks Arlo SoHo!

Amazing hotel. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful, room was really cool. Yes there on the small size (surely those bemoaning the size looked at the pictures before they booked! ) but the room was great! Bed was amazing (we were given a free upgrade! ) and the view gave us a proper feel for New York life. Hotel was full of life and had a great outside space with tents to chill in at night. Reasonably priced for New York, and in a great location right by Canal street subway (which seemed to go directly everywhere you could wish for! ). Can’t wait to go back again next year!

I enjoyed the stay very much. Perfect location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nice and spacious rooms. Loved both the rooftop bar (never mind the marvelous view) and the bar / sit down area just behind the check in counter. Exceeding my expectations. Would highly recommend staying here.

Small rooms but very comfy and with everything you need. Might be a bit too small for a couple but in the end you are likely not spending a lot of time in the room. The open spaces at the reception are really nice and service was great. Highly recommend especially when looking at price-quality!

Very unique hotel. Service is really amazing, probably the nicest check-in experience I had. Their amenities are of some boutique brand and are of very high quality. My room was perfect for a solo traveler, I got no idea what they got to offer for couples or more but I'm sure it's also great. Looking forward to coming back, thanks.

Oh my gosh. I do not have the words to say just how amazing this hotel is! I was in the city for a special occasion and decided to splurge on a proper New York hotel instead of the chains I could stay at anywhere. I'm so happy I did. I only stayed one night so I didn't get the chance to explore everything they offer, but the main restaurant is delicious, they have a candy bar, and there is a lounge with puzzles and books and desks. The room was small but everything about it was beautiful and modern and the whole place is just perfectly hipster. The bed was comfortable, the Blind Barber toiletries smelt amazing, the water pressure was perfect and they gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste since I forgot to pack mine. Seriously, the only thing that was wrong with the hotel is I had to unplug the alarm clock to plug in the hairdryer. They even had a steamer in the room, which was so fun to use and handy to unwrinkle my nice clothes. The mini fridge was great too. I just can't say enough about this place. It's wonderful.

The hotel was very hip and modern. I liked all the amenities including the spacious lounge area, the tents outside, the rooftop lounge, 24 hour bodega, etc. Only qualm I had was that we were not asked our bed choice when we checked in and they just immediately gave us a bunk bed room even though what we had booked did not specify that. Other than that experience was good. No early check in was given, which is fine, just would've been nice. Bag storage was provided.

The location of this small hotel is convenient to spots in the Village and its lobby is chic with an outside area equipped with tents. There's a small store in the lobby for unique snacks and coffee. The rooms, however, are tiny. They make the most of the space by planting the bathroom right next to the bed with only frosted glass and a rolling barn style door for a semblance of privacy. If you are sharing the room with someone, you won't have any secrets from them. Linen changes are by request, so if you forget to ask, you'll come back to an untouched room.

Great value for money and amazing atmosphere. While rooms are small they are very well designed and very pleasant. The public spaces are beautiful and provide good working space. The roof view is amazing at sunset and there's occasional performance which is great. Mostly addressing younger crowds.

Gorgeous hotel, excellent design! Felt like being in a movie… cozy chic rooms — comfortable and fun. Modern, creative perfect open lounge areas great for meetings and laptop work, or just chill with friends. Definitely try the restaurant, steak was beautiful. Best millennial chic hotel in NYC in this price range (I live in NY, so I’ve been around)

I had such a great stay at The Arlo while in NYC for work. The bed was wonderful, the room lovely and clean, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The restaurant was delicious. I will absolutely be back!

Great place to stay! the rooftop bar was a blast, and had amazing views off the balcony. The rooms are quaint, but perfect for travelers who are mostly out and about. Great use of space. The restaurant in the hotel has delicious food and the lobby is filled with fun treats.

This is a very urban chic hotel. Perfect Hotel in Soho. I was here for a business training. Great food, Great service. There are multiple trains close by. It felt like home.

Very clean and cozy. The staff is so nice and happy, it was a pleasure to interact with them during my stay. The location is great, walking distance to shopping and lots of great food. There is a subway station right around the corner for anyone wanting to use the subway. The rooftop bar has a beautiful view. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel has an awesome vibe, the staff is so friendly and the included coffee shop serves quite good coffee. Even though my room was very small it was so clever designed and had everything that I needed. The communal spaces are nice and inviting. I‘m looking forward to my next visit. ❥

Great hotel to stay in New York both for business and for tourism.
Average high prices but the rooms are well cleaned and maintained.
Easily accessible both by Taxi and by Subway, also recommended its restaurant.

Nice hotel. It's not over the top and has enough for what we needed, which was a comfy place to sleep and put our things as we were only there to sleep. Staff were friendly. Stuff goes on downstairs that was cool.

The single rooms are like little dorm rooms, but it’s still a nice hotel. They have a little pickup n go grocery/cafe. Candy bar. Bicycles for rent. Umbrellas ready to use in the rooms. Wonderful! Would love to stay here again!

Excellent hotel. I stayed a week and loved the design, the people Q caters super friendly. The rooftop bar is great. I recommend it!

Never staying here again. Feels like the room is a closet. No privacy whatsoever when using the restroom, no doors, just a glass partition. No gym, and the only fitness related options they have are classes that they CHARGE for — unfair considering they don't have a fitness center. Staff is friendly and the beds are definitely clean, but those are the only benefits. No coffee/tea in room, and none complimentary downsairs. No complimentary bottled water. Basically, they don't make up for their size AT ALL.

We had a great romantic weekend here at Arlo Soho. The staff was fun and on point, the vibe was cool and unpretentious and the location was perfect for our Soho/Tribeca/Village-based activities. The room was small, but this was offset by thoughtfully designed, well-proportioned public spaces. People were working, playing cards, listening to music, drinking great cocktails, and generally just hanging out. Street parking is free all weekend and we easily found a spot at 9:00 p. M. Friday night. What's more, we were able to walk to all of our planned destinations quickly and easily. Had we activities uptown subway stations were just around the corner. We are in NYC on a regular basis (once a month at least) and have already booked our next stay at Arlo Soho!

Stayed here over the weekend for a friend's wedding. The lobby functions as an odd but charming little boutique store, and the decor is very modern and attractive. Unfortunately that's where the charm ended for us. The lobby is so small you can barely fit in front of the desk with your luggage to check in, while other guests squeeze by behind you. The computer screens at the desk were huge, nearly blocking the faces of the staff. We were told we could check in at 3 pm, which was already very late, but when we arrived the room still was not ready! We were exhausted from our travel, but we waited in the lounge for a while, and then waited longer while the employee stared at her computer without speaking for several minutes. She finally told us she was "finding" us a room. When we got into the room, we were shocked at the size! It was essentially a small entry and a bed. There's not even room for a desk, just a small fold-down plank that is supposed to function as one. The toilet and shower were only separated from the room by a sheet of frosted glass. The huge window along the back wall beyond the bed overlooks the courtyard, and you could directly see into every other room across the hotel. Our cab driver warned us when he dropped us off that guests often complain about the honking and noise from traffic entering the tunnel at night, although we did not experience this.

The room is smaller than I expected but it is definitely cozy. They sell shoes and candy in the lobby so it gives it a different atmosphere than other hotels. The public spaces are really nice to work at. Coffee shop operates from 6am — midnight.

Great hotel. Excellent staff from valet to bag check in. Service at front desk with a smile. Rooftop views amazing and a great vibe. Room was perfect and shower was fabulous pressure and temperature. Convenient location to walk anywhere.

Great location but the room we had was small. No closets. Shower and toilet open on the bedroom (glass wall). Staff very friendly and available. The rooftop is top.

When you give a hotel like this 5 stars, you're not helping anyone. The rooms are slightly smaller than my college dorm room. The twin beds are a lot smaller than what I slept on as a freshman, with the TV literally hanging over one of the beds. No views to speak of. It's a trendy little place with cheap everything, but they've done a decent job, so it looks alright. I hate to write a review about how bad the reviewers are, but it is just not a five star hotel. The Arlo aspires to be a 3 star hotel and almost pulls it off.

This review might be biased as we went to visit our friend who is the bartender. The inside bar was small but very nice. There was a lot of seating and it was decorated well. There was also seating in the rooftop with another bar. This was an awesome place to lounge and relax. My other friend got a lobster roll and said it was really good.

Really nice hotel. The hotel rooms are small, but really cozy, clean and welcoming. The rooftop bar offers an amazing view over the city. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of healthy options. Be aware that all beverages and foods in the restaurant as well in the kiosk with take-away options are really expensive — even for New York. The staff at the reception was unfortunatelly not really helpful and seemed to be not interesting in helping the guests. Really close to public transportation and to the airport. Perfect start point to explore the city.

Visited their rooftop bar on Saturday for a friend's birthday party. The bar changes themes depending on the season so right now it's a surf bar theme. The decor was very cute and even though it was a nice day, the bar wasn't overly crowded which was great. Our group had a number of their cocktails but the frose was a crowd favorite. Food was a little pricey, but they gave you pretty large portions. We'll definitely be back!

The location is great! Very convenient and close to public transportation and bars/restaurants. The streets are noisy though. I love the look and feel of the hotel. It has a great rooftop bar/restaurant. The room is a little small, but it has its charm.

I arrived at Arlo hotel from JFK and took the subway to reach the destination. Upon arrival my room was ready by noon. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were typical New York in that they are small but functional. A great place to rest your head. The lobby has ample seating and working space. The location touts a roof top bar and a bar downstairs along with a restaurant. My time there was sorry but was able to visit several places as the proximity to the subway and nearby attractions was great. I'd certainly stay there again.

My trip was primarily for business, so I was looking for a cute, convenient hotel near the visiting office. The Arlo Hudson definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, on-point — Abby at the front desk was the sweetest one of the bunch and got me from A to Z. Especially loved the lounge and roof-top bar.

Arlo Hudson Square is possibly one of the most stylish hotels I've ever been to. From the lovely shared areas to the roof terrace to can see an incredible attention to detail in almost every aspect. The room I stayed was quite small but amazingly decorated. Highly recommended.

I love this hotel! A design hotel with super friendly staff, small but lovely and fresh rooms. Big windows and pleasant bathrooms, efficiently made. Very clean, witch is the most important to me when I stay at a hotel. Beautiful interior, with a lovely hangout area, rooftop and backyard. Arlo has it all — it feels like coming home. The Arlo Hotel was clean and had a very modern feel. The staff were extremely helpful. The location is great, tons of food nearby! The rooms are very small. The TV is positioned in a way that makes it hard to get to the other side of the bed. Our city view room was looking at a billboard. Upon check-in, an hour after our check-in time, we were told our room wasn't ready. It took some prodding to get them to find a room for us, as we had to get ready for an event. Overall our stay was quite just nice and the staff are extremely helpful, as well as welcoming.
