Had a wonderful overnight stay here for our first anniversary. Was so welcoming… cosy and spotless 🙂
Host, Gillie was more than attentive… she made a delicious breakfast too which included a full English, and the option of fresh fruit and cereals, accompanied by toast, all in all we had a fabulous stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Excellent stay, in a spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Had the best nights' sleep in quiet and tranquil surroundings. Breakfast was delicious and of a high quality. The host was very warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

We stayed here for two nights in a room with twin beds and en-suite bathroom. Plugged the postcode in the car Satnav and it worked perfectly taking us directly to this wonderful place.
The owner, Gillie; was there bang on just as we had arrived and she showed us to the room and the property in general. Beautifully clean inside and out with a gorgeous garden area all around and off road parking for maybe three or four cars. All very well maintained with lovely decor. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The windows could be opened, the internet Wi-Fi worked, there was kettle in the room with complimentary coffee, tea and milk and snack biscuits. Plenty plug points and lighting. The bathroom was immaculately clean and the bath/shower had a slip prevention mat which had clearly been cleaned. There was shampoo/shower foam in the bath and hand wash by the sink.
The breakfast order was taken the evening before but could be changed if you wanted. Lovely setting again… big kitchen area with nice table, chairs and crockery. Cereals, fresh fruit and a choice of yoghurts. Toast/bread, coffee or tea, sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding and however you want your eggs. And, it was very well cooked… nothing overdone or whatever! Very tasty and in terms of quantity… actually more than enough!
Checking in and out was simple, adequate security, beautiful, rural location and yet not too far to walk in Pitlessie or by car into Cupar.

With a hostess who goes out of her way to accommodate your every need. With immaculately presented accommodation, I almost prefer to keep it all to myself. A wonderful setting and pleasantly quiet. Delightful entertainment from the wild bird’s feeding in the garden whilst you have breakfast.

We enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay with Gillie at Cantrip Cottage. Gillie is a caring host with a high standard property. Pre-arrival communication was exceptional (Gillie had a commitment that meant she may not be around at the time of our arrival so she took great care to make sure (a) we knew and (b) we would be met by her cousin). The property is set back from a main road along a track so was very quiet and peaceful. She recommended a local pub/restaurant for an evening meal which was excellent. The bedroom was clean and very comfortable. Gillie prepared and served superb cooked breakfasts to order in a purpose built kitchen/diner where we were able to socialise with Gillie and other guests. The property is ideally located for exploring the Kingdom of Fife but don’t expect excitement. It is a peaceful and restful location that is distant from other properties.

A wonderful cottage, everything you need, owners were very accommodating — they have a beautiful sitting out area in the garden to watch the birds. Breakfast was excellent too!

Great B&B at a great price, the host is also lovely and a fantastic cook! If i'm ever back up that way I will definitely return.
