As lovely as the last time we stayed over back in October last year, Jim and Carol are very friendly and make you feel at home, lovely clean room and en suite, and very comfy bed too, great breakfast also, will definitely be back again, Marina and Jim 10 out of 10.

Lomond Guest House is a real 'home from home'. I had an extended stay here and felt incredibly welcomed by the lovely Carol and Jim. Their BnB is incredibly cosy and inviting in a picturesque area, with the breakfast cooked to perfection every time. Carol and Jim are attentive hosts who go out of their way to make their guests happy. They are genuinely lovely people with great recommendations/tips for anything in the area. I would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone considering!

In short, I can not think of anything not to recommend about this excellent restaurant. The location and particularly the views out over the Tay whilst eating really are excellent and ever-changing with the weather. Decanter magazine recommends the good value wine list, enough said. As a MasterChef professional winner, the whole food experience, including breakfast (if you stay overnight) is certainly one of the very best in Scotland and is regularly changed with the seasons/local availability.

Great location, food and service in an intimate setting.

Booked in here for a flying visit, arrived late and was given a room view a beautiful view. Had a lovely steak in the bar which was cooked to perfection. As I was leaving early, I settled my account before going to bed and even though breakfast usually started at 8.00 I was offered an early one at 6.30, I declined as this was too early for me. I asked the manager/proprietor?

The food was delicious and the staff were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel for lunch or dinner. What a lot of work has already gone on to restoring this hotel. Will definitely be back for dinner and to see the changes taking place. Thanks to all the staff.

5 of us stayed in a self catering flat. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, reasonably well equipped. Plenty of parking. Staff helpful. 30 minute walk to town, and regular bus service. Good accommodation for the price, relative to what other accommodation in the area costs. Would recommend.

Great rooms, clean and well presented. Ideally located not far from town with easy access by car or bus. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of pastries, cereals and cooked breakfast included in the room rate. Would definitely recommend and will happily return again. Great value for money.

An excellent place to stay in St. Andrews. Kevin is a world class host and we would love to come back and visit. The location and value cant be beat.

Our group of 4 ladies ranging from the teens to the 70s had a wonderful stay at the Annandale Guest House in March 2024! Each day started with a lovely breakfast and tip-filled conversations with hosts Fiona and Kevin to make the most out of our stay in St. Andrews. Rooms were excessively clean and stocked with everything we needed, and beds were amazingly comfortable. Definitely felt like “home away from home” and cannot say enough about how warm and accommodating Fiona and Kevin were!

Fabulous hotel great staff! Very clean spacious Room and large wet room. Fantastic reception staff the guy that was on at night helped us to get rid of a spider in the corner of the room so as we could sleep at 3am which in the end turned out to be a moth. Bar was lovely very stylish decor and a wide selection of fine wines and spirits and fairly priced too. Barman nice and chatty and very informative when it came to local knowledge. Oh and a nice wee late checkout thrown in.

Good place to stay if on a night out in Dunfermline.

We visited the waterfront for breakfast last week while on holiday in Anstruther, lovely friendly staff, superb quick service. Food was delicious, the fluffiest pancakes with bacon and maple syrup was that good we went back for more the next day before heading home!

Clean and well apportioned rooms. Wi-Fi, stocked kitchen and dining room, and comfortable lounge. Convenient access procedure.

My first time staying at the Murray Library Hostel, or any hostel really. Was a little apprehensive especially as travelling alone. I needn't have worried, The Murray Library Hostel was a pleasing new experience. Welcomed by Darius the manager, who as I was early for my booking in time, advised me to leave my case secure in his office and go to explore Anstruther unhindered. My delightful room was overlooking the beach and harbour with stunning views of the Forth.

We stopped in last week while on holiday for dinner, Food was Excellent, great service and lovely staff!

I’m Gluten free. Shaky start but John the night Porter sorted it all out when I chatted with him at the bar on the first night because our first morning I didn’t receive a full English breakfast. Instead I got a cold plate, cold scrambled eggs which were very dry and smoked salmon. I was told I could only have poached or scrambled eggs but they had gluten free toast. I booked the hotel as they promised me they would cater for me.

This is a lovely place either for a snack, meal or night out staff wete very helpful and friendly meals very adequate and reasonably priced would recommend.

Just had lovely meal there tonight, it was totally amazing, and staff was so helpful and friendly, we will definitely be back again.

We arrived with our 2 well behaved dogs and had a very warm welcome. We didn't have food although we were very tempted as we had a meal cooked in our camper.

We had an afternoon tea here and it was lovely, nice quiet space with a peaceful view of the gardens we were fortunate to have the room to ourselves! Staff were helpful attentive and very welcoming. Lovely atmosphere 😊

Truly a special place for a romantic getaway. Wonderful accommodations, farm to table restaurant menu. Luxurious feel from the moment we walked in. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Definitely on my list to go back one day.
