Roof top bar it's amaaaaazing Ben makes. The best classic margaritas omG and the seasoned fries are great too. Hotel it's super clean and staff is friendly.

The rooftop bar has a view worth the visit! It’s an easy stroll to everything in the Gas Lamp area.

It was beautiful, wish the rooms were a bit bigger. Parking is horrible unless you do Valet, but I really loved the hotel and how nice it was.

Beautiful view from our room (8th floor). Very friendly and kind staff. Will definitely be back. The only problem we had was finding parking because the parking structure was completely packed, so we had to park a block away, but it was still worth it. 💙

Great hotel, staff, and location. There was a small hiccup with our room door, which took about an hour to resolve. They offered us a much larger suite to make it up to us.
Very close to all things in the Gaslamp Quarter, the harbor, and so many restaurants within walking distance. Hotel parking is $35 per night, but you can also locate street parking, which is free after 6pm, until 8am.

Hotel Indigo Terrace Suite is the best place to watch the game at Petco Park. Great view! Amazing terrace!

Then when it comes to the rooms so comfortable, roomy and make sure you get a top floor for the views of Downtown! It’s truly worth the Stay.

Well situated hotel for downtown activities. Very close to the baseball stadium! Half door brewing right across the street. My room looked right into the field! Had a window that opened too. Did hear downtown noises with window open. 9th floor patio had $9 beer and had a great view. The one meal I had there was pretty good. Good service from staff.

The room and the rooftop bar were VERY nice. The only annoying thing I found was that we paid for a room upgrade that included breakfast and 2 free drinks but they managed to forget to give us both sets of vouchers. So we ended up having to try to explain to the bartender and our waiter at breakfast that we paid for these things. Other than that, it's a great location, would definitely recommend getting a room with a view, it gives a great view of San Diego. I'll definitely be going back to the level 9 bar, it's a great atmosphere and an amazing view as well.

We had an amazing private sunset cruise last night for my mom's birthday! Leah was our captain and everyone was SO helpful (Brittany helped us set up and another young man helped us bring down our stuff). I was so impressed with how helpful everyone was… I showed up a little late and they helped me bring everything down to my car and even loaded up the ice chest for us and set up the table. Leah was such a great captain and took us on a beautiful two hour cruise around the lake and brought us to the best spot right under the bridge to watch the bats. I can't say enough good things about this experience and how nice and helpful everyone was!

What a great rooftop bar. There were a few couch areas that looked cozy but were taken. But wasn't surprised for it being Saturday night. There was still a few tables open and the view is nice. The bartender. Forget his name hot buff blond dude with a beard made some fire drinks. He had such a nice voice too. Anyway. They were specials for comic con. One had gin lavender simple syrup and grapefruit. I really like mildly sweet drinks so that was a hit for me. The drinks were understandably somewhat expensive for it being a higher end bar in downtown San Diego. Though I do wish mine were a little stronger lol. Overall I had a good time here I would visit again!

We had a fabulous 5-night stay, June 2018. We booked for the dog-friendly policies but the hotel is so much more. The staff is so friendly and focused on customer service, the room is lovely, and the location is perfect. We loved the roof-top bar. The food we had there was very good. We will definitely be back.

Clean, modern and spacious. Shower is roomy and nice but needs more shelving or places to put items. One bathroom light constantly flickers/hums and the sink has a very very slow drain. Could use a mini fridge but bed is nice and comfy.

Nice hotel, don't get me wrong. Very polite. Good location. Parking is a nightmare & they charge for everything! Many other places throughout San Diego that offer better prices and more perks.

Classy place. The entry got busy but the atmosphere was nice. Valet guys were cool and the staff was very professional. The room was plush with a gorgeous view.

Came here to go to their rooftop bar. It was a very chill environment. You can see straight I to the baseball field from here. Although you can only see about 50% of the field, theoretically you could enjoy a baseball game live with comfortable seating on a sofa and drinks at this bar. Dogs are allowed here. Staff are professional. You cannot have any type of drink that isn't purchased. I had a water bottle I typically carry with me and was told to put it out of sight in my bag. Strange seeing as how I bought alcoholic beverages. Other than this exchange with a waiter it was a very relaxing experience.

Second time staying here for a conference at the convention center. Price was right for distance to convention center. Large rooms that are very clean and well laid out. Rooftop bar gives your a view of the baseball stadium (can see the action on the jumbo screen). Definitely recommend (especially since I've booked my stay here multiple times). Great area in gaslamp with lots of restaurants.

Outstanding hotel, in an ideal location. Our room was well-maintained, the valets were very reliable, and we sincerely felt like the hotel staff cared about our experience. In fact, Hector, the guest services liaison, told us that he loved his job and wanted to make sure that the guests were happy. His actions showed that he was sincere. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Diego.

We chose this hotel for our mini-moon. A quick time away from friends and family right after our wedding. Staff was extremely accommodating and answered all of our questions. Pointed us in the right direction when we asked for food recommendations or things to do. Right in downtown so close to gaslamp and a 10 minute uber to the zoo. Airport is also nice and close. Room was clean and comfortable. Loves how dark the room got at night. Even though the baseball stadium is right there we couldn't hear any noise. Bartender was super nice and gave us plastic coffee mugs no charge for our hot tea.

The listings for this hotel, specifically the nightly prices, are terribly deceptive. Every Hotel Indigo I've stayed at has been a positive experience with friendly staff and more than the usual amenities except this one. I quickly chose Hotel Indigo SD when planning my trip due to it being nearly the cheapest and having similar expectations as past experiences. I was extremely displeased to find out that there is zero on-premise parking and that my two options were to park on the street (packed due to a game 3/4 nights of my stay) or valet for an additional $47 nightly. I would have chosen a different place to stay if this was made clear in the posting. Overall, I'm left feeling duped out of $200 with no option to be reimbursed or find another place last minute.

This hotels location is great. Right near Petco stadium and perfect area to to walk up to gaslamp as it on the edge. It was an easy bike ride to Little Italy. Hotel service was great, staff was friendly. The only negative comment would be the thin walls. We could hear everything from the hall, footsteps from above and conversations carried through vents in the bathroom.

The hotel is in a strategic location, it near the Park & Market station. Really near the stadion also. Really close to 7-11, just 1 minute walking. Really close many pubs as the center of the crowd. The hotel room also really nice. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is clean. They provided amenities, but no toothbrush. So make sure you bring one with you. Overall, I love this hotel!

Best location for a hotel. Rooms and services were top notch. A bit pricey, but for that service quality and in California as well, it's worth every penny. Don't get a rental car if you are visiting San Diego and will be staying here. I learned the hard way (you have a car, but no parking space or I believe it was 20 or 40 bucks per day to park in their garage). I had to return the car next day. Concierge service was great as well.

The overnight valet parking was a bit pricey but convenient. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, but the hotel desserts were mediocre at best. However, there are so many restaurants and dessert shops within walking distance from the hotel so this should not stop you from staying here!

Great hotel in an excellent location. It is a very dog friendly with great rooms close to a lot of main attractions. My only issue would be that the valley parking is really expensive every night especially since overnight parking at lots are hard to come by.

The hotel stay was fine, despite no warning on sharing restaurant, bar and elevator space with large breeds. Also no notification prior to check in on $47 a night parking. The $109 a night base rate was perfect for the holiday. The issue is the staff doesn't know how their ach system works. Changed cards Christmas eve and they still have the room holding on my debit card as well, which will apparently stay on through New Years day, because it wasn't cancelled out properly the way my reversal was. Despite telling me the day of, Saturday of last week, 8 days ago, that it was completely cancelled. So they now have $300+ tied up on my account that was already paid, despite having been able to completely process a reversal for my first night. Which also, does not change their initial authorization amount. What this means is they charge as you stay, per day, AND keep the initial full charge amount on your card. So my $320 stay after the first day had $440 or so tied up on my account.

Very good value ($104) for accommodations on Christmas Eve. Service was excellent. Valet parking is $47/day. No hotel self-park. So factor $47 into your room cost or be prepared to self-park off-site and spend $15+ per day. (And some local lots don't make 24-hr parking easy… e. G. $15 for 12 hours, no ability to add time. ) We parked off-site and gave $45 in tips instead to the various hotel staff who worked Christmas/Christmas Eve.

We had an amazing stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was clean. The food and drinks at the restaurant were fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a better visit.

Nice hotel. Parking fee of $47 a night is pretty ridiculous. I had to park a few blocks away for a $15 a night rate and carry my luggage to and from. So after paying $300 a night I have to walk alone w luggage at night a few blocks, was not happy with this. Also roof top bar employees will watch you like a hawk to be sure you don't have any outside food or drinks. We bought multiple of their $9 beers and were talked to about my friends Starbucks coffee and a snack we had with us. The rest of the night we were there they just kept staring at us, it was not cool.

I just stayed one night with my husband and dog. Very nice location very near to the 5th Avenue in downtown San Diego, just a cross street from the Petco Park. The room was very nice and clean. We order room service for dinner and everything wore great, the stay is very friendly and they received my dog as always what to be treat my dog. In the 9th floor they have a relive area for my puppy near to the bar, very nice bar by the way. The only think I didn’t liked was they had a group and those folks had a very noise party all around the halls, my dog barked every time she heard a noise so we wore worry she will be barking all the time so I call front desk and complained about the noise. Also my dog is a morning dog she get up very early so I taked to the relive arra about 6:30 am and it was closed, if the Hotel provide this kind of service they should have accesible this area all the time. Other than that I will come back soon.

We were celebrating a special occasion and were treated so kindly from the moment we checked in. I knew immediately that I had made the right choice! Beautiful, clean, quiet hotel with such friendly service. We were greeted every time we entered or exited the lobby. The location is unbeatable — walking distance to some incredible restaurants and PetCo is within view. We will certainly be visiting this chain more after such a great experience. Good location, cute rooms, & the service is good. Only downside is parking. Not much street parking & Valet is $20 or $10 if you get it validated by the restaurant so not too bad for cost they just need to update their system on paying for validation.

Great location close to ballpark and ideal for bars on Fifth. City parking is also nearby and easy to use. Although one of the older Indigo hotels so room facilities aren't up to scratch no refrigerator in room and Aircon is very noisy. Staff aren't very attentive as missed the special occasion we were at hotel for despite it being on reservation very dissappointing IHG.

Level 9 is a quiet mid floor (not rooftop, only on the 9th floor) bar with okay views of lower downtown. Drinks were slightly overpriced but the bar had a nice selection and helpful attentive staff. No line and plenty of seating on a Saturday night. Lots of heaters and fire pits to keep you warm on cooler nights. Great spot for a romantic date or a group but no so much for a place to meet people or socialize. Clientele is mostly older hotel guests.

It was my bfs and my 4 year anniversary and the people were so nice and attentive. Even gave us an upgraded room on them because it was our anniversary. The view of downtown is beautiful and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. Definitely recommend to visit. Even if you live in San Diego it's a great place to visit or at least catch a drink on there level 9 bar. Great customer service so definitely going back for sure.

We love Hotel Indigo Gaslamp. We always choose to stay here. The ambiance is perfect. We took our 5 year old here. Had a blast. Convenient. Great views of ballpark. Curtains are dark at night, so ballpark lights don't shine through. Excellent customer service, clean rooms. Love the restaurant, and level 9 rooftop bar has great views. We'll stay here next time we go to San Diego.

Attended Hotel Indigo to photograph a wedding couple that was staying in the hotel. The staff at the concierge counter were polite and helpful. The decor is swanky and provides great locations for photographs.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The front desk is extremely friendly, the bar tenders were professional and very helpful. The room was on the small side but was laid out perfectly. The view of the ballpark was the best part of our stay. We will be back.

The rooms were beautiful, the temp on the thermostat only goes down to 68° and we've been having a heat wave so that was no good. You have to ask for a fridge from the front desk and they bring it to hot and its very small. Thats really my only complaint other than the $47 mandatory valet fee. Very nice hotel, would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Lovely, we'll decorated, spacious rooms. More importantly I love that it is super dog friendly! There is a green patch on the rooftop available for furry guests at all hours, no extra cleaning fees, doggy treats in the lobby, and no weight limit!

The staff is amazing. I agree with other reviewers though, I had to ask for shampoo and housekeeping took my towels but did not replace them. They also did not refresh my coffee condiments. When I called the front to desk, the brought everything up right away and apologized. Overall great experience and FANTASTIC location!

Very nice hotel. No pool and no microwave or fridge in our room which is sad for the price we paid. Other than that very friendly staff and great security measures. We are on the 838th floor and the view is great. There are a lot of great places within walking distance including bars and restaurants and coffee shops and a cvs.

The first room we were put in was an ADA accessible room. It had a horrible view and the shower head was very very low down. For my husband who is almost 6'5"this was an issue. Luckily they were nice enough to put us in a different room which had a much better view and a regular shower fixture. The room was beautiful and we were very happy with our stay.

Gives you the "expensive hotel" feel without being too pricey. Lobby is also very comfortable and spacious, and valet parking is available (expensive though, I don't think it's worth it. )

Great location with plenty of good eating houses and bars in easy reach. Pleasant helpful staff. The room I had suffered from lif/elevator noise and outdoor noises (wind, sirens, dogs barking) getting into the room. They had no rooms with a bath/tub available. A few small issues but it took the edge off an otherwise above average hotel.

The Hotel has a hip and current with the times feel upon entering. Check-in was fairly quick and the front reception crew was very friendly. Rooms are clean, roomy, with contemporary flare. Having Wood floors in the rooms is very nice and it leaves you with no questions about the cleanliness of the floor. Had a wonderful evening in the gaslamp district and the location of the indigo hotel is walking distance to many bars and dining.

Let me say this, when they're 4-5 valets standing around having a conversation and they sit and watch two young ladies pulling out their multiple bags out of their cab and none of them offer to help, that leaves me at a loss for words. And when I ask them why they simply watched and didn't offer to help, and the valet named Matt says "whatever man"… then I go from being speechless to apoplectic. Unreal. These were two guests I had coming in to San Diego to visit this fine city, they had a late flight in and this the welcome they get? Did I mention that they were no other guests out there and no one else they were helping? Unbelievable.

I really like the hotel, but our bed is hard as a rock. We both woke up aching. Not for people over forty! And the pot of coffee we got in the am was awful. Cheap burned taste. On the other hand the location is nice and the hotel staff is very friendly.

My husband I an decided to stay at the Hotel Indigo for a stay-cation celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. This chic hotel is perfectly located blocks from the Padres Baseball Stadium, walking distance to the heart of the Gaslamp. The rooms are plush and full of light (with black-out blinds of course). Every aspect of the hotel seems fresh, new, and vibrant. The outdoor bar on the 9th story is the perfect spot to enjoy a few drinks, catch some of the Padres game (if there is one playing) and sit by the fire. The bartender, Jen, is very sweet and fun! After a relaxing night, checkout was even a pleasant experience. At the front desk, Ellen, who'd checked us in the night before, remembered our names, that is was our anniversary and even our room number! Plus, she gave us directions to a yummy local brunch hotspot and let us keep our bags in a locked room until we returned. We will definitely be returning again next year.

Hotel indigo and I were a match made on priceline :) let me count the ways why we were a perfect match: 1) walking distance to petco park to get your game on 2) walking distance to all the gaslamp district to get your drink on 3) pet friendly with no fee 4) friendly hotel staffs 5) comfy, modern, clean, safe (requires guest keys for elevator access) though my stay was only an overnight stay on friday night but I brought my pup along and he had a blast as well :) this will definitely be my go to hotel the next time i'm in san diego! also, there are 2 doggy bag stations across the street. This made me love san deezy even more! p. S. We were able to find meter parking across the street from the hotel, but if you valet I believe it's $28 unlimited in an out for 24 hrs. Pretty pricey, so good luck with parking.

My Fathers truck was damaged in the valet and they will not pay for the damage! My Father, Mother, and Sister stayed at this hotel on a family vacation. Upon arrival at the hotel they were forced to Valet their truck. They would not allow him to park his own vehicle. My father does not like to leave his truck in the hands of anyone he does not know. He had no choice so he did a walk around of the truck before handing off the keys. When they picked the truck up from valet, my father inspected the vehicle once again. There was a dent on the side of the truck. They notified the gentleman at the valet counter and he filed an incident report. A week later after they promised to get back to them right away they received a call. The hotel informed them that the claim was denied stating the damage was pre-existing. This claim is false! Later after posting reviews and getting cancellations the hotel offered to pay the insurance deductible. This would still affect the insurance premiums and count as an accident on their insurance. They went back in forth with several employees and managers finally the Manager of Ace Valet for the hotel Indigo called and spoke to my father and told him that they deny all claims and that the employees there have nothing to worry about unless it is considerable damage. They offered to pay the $500 deductible and admitted that it was their fault but would not pay for the damage to get repaired outside of my fathers car insurance.

Perfectly located on the edge of the gaslamp district, so it is very close walking distance to great shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, but is not too noisy. Room was cozy and comfortable, with loads of natural light and colorful, uber-modern, eco-friendly decor.

Interest evening © We where well taking care of by the staff. The meals where very nicely propiared with plenty of fresh greens to my surprise. Over all a very injoyfull night. The morning was great for early risers. With plenty of activities to keep you busy.

I only stayed one night in this hotel, but it ensured that I will be staying in this hotel from now on every time I visit San Diego. I travel a lot, so for a hotel to make an impression on me, it means something. First I'll start with the quality of the hotel. Everything was great, from the cleanliness, to the bed, to the carpet. It was great. The location of the hotel is awesome as well. Walking distance to many great restaurants and hang out spots. But the best part of the hotel has got to be Megan and Jose. I booked the hotel online and wrote a random request under the "Special Requests" section of the booking page. I asked for two red skittles to be placed on my pillow upon arrival. I didn't expect them to follow through with it, so I ended up forgetting about it. However when I entered my room, I found a note thanking me for my stay, along with two red skittles on my pillow, and a bowl filled with the rest of the skittles. Needless to say, I was freaking surprised that they were willing to do something like this. They didn't have to do it, but the fact they paid attention to the details and were willing to do whatever it took to make me happy is the reason I will be a customer for life. Thanks Megan and Jose! The skittles were great! P. S If the manager is reading this, give them a raise.
