My family and I had a wonderful experience at this place. The staff was very friendly. Bonna (Ihope I spelled that correct) greeted me and checked me in. She was awesome! She remembered me every time she saw me and would always take the time to chat with me if she could. We were on the first floor and didn’t really notice any noise. Breakfast was delicious and a nice selection. Parking was quite tricky at times. You have to make sure you read the signs. During peak times you could only park for 2 hrs. Overall, the stay was pleasant and I would stay there again. — KT.

We really liked the location (several bus routes nearby, and Alamo Square), the nearby restaurants, the quiet neighbourhood, and the breakfast.

July 2017 — very well run Bed & Breakfast Hotel, we were there in July for three days, rooms absolutely clean, good breakfast, nice and helpful staff.

Came to San Francisco on a birthday trip, great location so we were able to walk everywhere we wanted, and for a great price.

Affordability was the main draw. Continental breakfast is nice. Rooms leave something to be desired.

I felt comfortable walking to the Bill Graham convention center before and after a concert. It was an easy 6 block walk. Breakfast was nice and employees very friendly. We will stay again.

Nearly perfect but some suggestions. There is not one chair for toddlers in the breakfast room. Please get 2 or 3. And a parking space just for unloading and packing would be great. But recommend this Inn. Near Alamo Square. Line 22 stops right at the Inn. Big Bus stop is just a few minutes away. Rooms are very clean.

It's a very cute little Inn. The rooms are nice and clean and the neighborhood is quiet and residential.

A small inn located few minutes away from the very busy center of San Francisco. The rooms are smalls but very clean and well furnished. Not to forget Molten brown toiletries. It's a close proximity to a lot of attractions as well. The lady at the reception was very friendly. She helped to get around SF and also helped book a cab at 3:00am in the morning.

The service was eexcellent here. They always welcome you as you come in. The breakfast consisted of yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast, pastries, orange juice, coffee. The bathrooms looked really nice like they were recently renovated. They had water, coffee, and tea in the room everyday.

We had a great experience with The Grove Inn. The room was clean, recently renovated, and exactly what we needed. They even allowed us to leave our luggage in the lobby before and after checkout.

Certainly the prices in San Francisco are high, that's what drove us to the Grove Inn
Nevertheless, nothing beats in this b that you spend so much money because the value is extremely poor.
First of all regarding the location, our room (number 14) overlooked an extremely noisy street, both day and night. So if you're looking for a little quiet, it's missed. To have so much noise, I recommend you go to a more central area, certainly you will also have noise but a little animation.
Regarding the room, the bedding is really ageing (we feel the springs), no catch next to the tables of nights so impossible to charge his phone by keeping it nearby. No dresser to store clothes but only a wardrobe (not practical to hang her panties on a hanger).
The room temperature is set by a central heating for all the building so impossible to have control over the temperature of your room. So it makes a huge heat (which is very bad for finding sleep), but don't think about opening the windows seen how noisy the street is.
As a woman, I also regret that there is not a single mirror in the room allowing you to see yourself on the right foot. The only mirror is a half mirror in the bathroom without daylight. A thick old carpet in the entire room which has a very poor cleanliness.
The bathroom (with toilet) is very dated. The shower curtain is aged and has old yellow traces.

I stayed here for the second time. Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff. They go out of their way to welcome you. I am looking to move here and this will be my go to hotel. Nice gym and wonderful beds!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable. The staff are gracious, kind, responsive, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Additionally, the location is fantastic. An easy walk to many interesting locations (Panhandle, GG Park, Hayes Valley, etc. ). I highly recommend the Grove Inn.

Cute well placed little inn. Very helpful multi-lingual staff. Rooms are a bit small and parking was a challenge one day (street is free if you can find some). Bed and bath were clean and comfortable. Thanks a bunch to the staff for a great stay.

A block away from the Painted Ladies. Room was very comfortable. Shower pressure was amazing. The breakfast provided had bread from local bakeries, and also, had other delicious spreads. Right near a bus stop.

Close to Alamo square and the painted ladies. Small room but plenty enough. Comfy bed and nice bathroom facilities.

I'm in the city regularly and won't ever stay anywhere else. Absolutely lovely!

Amazing stay. So much better than Union Square and Fisherman's wharf! You can have a real taste of San Francisco's life. Nice places in a walking distance, like Hayes Valley, Lower Haights and Fillmore and Divisadero Streets. The rooms are clean and well equiped and the staff is also very nice. They even have a breakfast.

I didn't think this city could get better, but my stay at the Grove Inn made this trip better than any other to San Francisco. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants are close and is easy to get anywhere you would want to go.

I come to San Francisco all the time for work and not only is my favorite hotel but the value is insane for what you get. Definitely has the fastest Wi-Fi in town, the best, most "real" breakfast I've seen with delicious coffee and locally baked bread. The beds are super comfortable and everything is squeaky clean and feels so thoughtfully done. The owners are some of the kindest most accommodating people I have ever met. The service is unparalleled. I don't ever want to stay anywhere else when I visit!

The Grove Inn experience was outstanding. This is such a perfect center of the city location to explore from. Recently reopened after a renovation, The Grove Inn is clean, fresh, and warm & the beds were incredibly comfortable. Josh & his mother Rosetta could not have been more gracious and accommodating. They gave us great local recommendations, offered an incredible morning artisan breads, freshly squeezed orange juice, wonderful coffee, in a sunny perfect people watching breakfast room & gave us customized directions to our walking destinations that included the best streets & beer gardens to check out. The design and details of the inn are inspired by Rosetta & the families' Italian heritage. Just lovely. You will love The Grove Inn.

Great place for the money. Klaus is very sweet, the coffee is surprisingly good, the location is quiet and convenient. Nothing fancy, but an excellent deal. I was very happy with it.
