Nice, clean room with friendly staff. Great location for walking to Chinatown, North Beach, Pier 39, The Ferry Buiding, Fishermen's Wharf and Union Square. Very reasonably priced and free parking!

Clean, free parking, counter service staff are very friendly and willing to answer questions, compared to the city's restaurants, can be free parking is a great advantage, is a good value of CP, the only picky point is probably a bit old in the hotel, but some equipment has updated, is still acceptable.

Beautiful and clean. Elevators were fast when they were working. Our room was ready for check in by 9AM instead of the usual 3PM. Right around the corner of from Chinatown and almost everything was within a $10-$15 cab fare. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the staff.

Rooms are outdated and overpriced for what you get. The walls are on the thin side and Wi-Fi has a poor connection almost always. (I would also very much recommend bringing your own shampoo). Very disappointed with this place and would not recommend for an extended period of time. However, a plus is that it is in a great location, friendly cleaning staff and perhaps the free parking.

We stayed at this place which was the cheapest one in San Francisco. However it was still expansive since there is no fridge in the room and that the place was pretty small. I also remember that we found old trash behind the table when we just arrived…

Great price, free parking, right in the heart of San Francisco's China Town. Easy access to everything with an uber or drive your own car. 1x car park space per room — so we were guaranteed a parking space. We had a big campervan and it was easy to park on the site. Motor homes would have trouble parking here. The check in and checkout was easy and we rang the hotel direct for the best price after searching online.

Clean rooms and nice views. Free Wi-Fi, friendly service and lots of fun stuff in walking distance. A little shabby looking from the outside, but really nice once you're checked in.

Inexpensive for a good location that was easy to walk to so many sites. The front desk staff was friendly. The parking was free and the parking lot attendant was friendly and helpful. The cafe's and restraunts nearby were great too. The cable channels were not the best but it didn't matter because we didn't spend much time in our room as we were here to see the sites. I would definitely stay here again based on price, convenience, and friendliness of the staff.

Old. Electric wall heater I am afraid to turn on. No AC that I can see. No bed bugs that I could find, but I sure was worried when I walked in. Bed is comfy tho and the reception staff was friendly.

Small but comfortable rooms, some language barriers with the front desk but they were very friendly — parking is free but very limited. The location is amazing for the price — be sure to try out the small dim sum place right next door!

It's in a good location if you want to spend the day in Chinatown. It's average overall, good price. Lots of stuff within walking distance.

It's the perfect place if you want to see Chinatown as soon as you walk out the front door you can start experience it.

I just went by to pick up some business cards. I meet a lot of visitors and one thing they mention is the high cost of rooms. I always recommend the Royal Pacific Motor Inn for their return trip. It's a clean, reasonably priced motel in a safe walking neighborhood. Walk one minute in one direction, you're in North Beach (Italian). Walk one minute in the other direction, you're in Chinatown. I've put six or seven groups of friends in this motel and everyone loves it. They have their own parking, and a minute from the police station so it's very safe. 5 or 6 good bus lines stop within 250 yards, so the problem of driving and parking is solved. Rooms were very clean and the staff is very accommodating. You'll love the Royal Pacific.

Ok… sure, you save a few bucks. They have parking. But there's no AC (I am melting as I write this…). The windows (which you want to smash to get some air in your room) are thin and let every sound outside in. The room itself is like a time-warp to some off the road hotel you stayed at when your Dad took you away from Mom when they had a really bad fight… back in the 90's. Nice people, though. And I don't like being a dick in reviews, but when the only thing that seems to work right in my room is the heater… and it's 84 F outside. Well, you get cranky pretty damn quick. I'll spend the extra $50 and stay somewhere else next time. To add insult to injury, the place I had dinner at suuuucked. Nothing to do with the hotel. But I'm sulking… leave me alone…

Highly recommended the accommodation, the best price and location of the area. Very comfortable rooms and the rate includes free parking, which in the area where it is located is something very important. To be perfect you would need to include breakfast and air conditioning in the rooms.

An average hotel located in a great part of San Francisco. Close to many of the main attractions, China town, Lombard Street, pier 39 etc.

Excellent hotel by its location in SF. Nice staff, clean rooms and excellent price. Nearby there's a lot of places to eat. A must in SF, you'll save a lot of money in the accommodation for expending it somewhere else.

Yes, this is why you want to stay in a motel in SF: you probably heard that the parking price is ridiculous here. Literally minutes of walk to the heart of Chinatown — also not too far away from the North Beach. Avoid this at all cost if all you need a quiet place (not sure if you can find any in the neighborhood, though). Rooms are clean but clearly outdated with 90-ish finish and a CRT TV. No hot tubs, no fridge, no swimming pool nor any bell-and-whistle things. This is pretty much your run-of-the-mill roadside motel you can find in the west. Still, a nice place to stay if you are a tourist visiting Chinatown, especially if you are driving.

It is very nice and expensive. Only advantage is good location and with parking.

Pros:
— Staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was ready early, so we could check in early. They held our bags after check out so that we could kill time before our bus left.
— Within walking distance of central China Town, Little Italy, and Fisherman's Wharf. There is no shortage of places to eat and sights to see.
— Rooms have free Wi-Fi and parking.
— Rooms were clean. Our room had a balcony, which was great for sitting and people watching. … Cons:
— Walls and glass on the sliding door are thin. You can hear everything. People have recommended getting a room at the back end of the hotel to cut down on street noise, which we'll probably do next time.
— Street is super busy. Not the hotels fault; it's just a busy part of town and there was road construction to boot. We used Lyft while there; my suggestion is don't have the Lyft driver pick you up at the hotel. Meet them down the street, it's a lot easier on you and them.
— Room does not have fridge. This isn't a big deal, but if you being leftovers back to the room, you won't have anywhere to put it. Overall, this place is worth it for the price you pay. It's affordable for multi day trips, and it's in a good location for seeing stuff. The accommodations are nice, not fancy, but you go to San Francisco to see the sights, not stay in your room all day.

Very good location with a lot of delicious Chinese restaurants nearby. Room is quite spacious, and the fact that they offer parking in San Francisco is just fantastic! Staff is quite nice as well. However, the room doesn't come with a fridge, the TV is a little dated, and the elevator is so old that they recommend only up to 4 people use it at a time. For the price though, I'd say that this is one of the better ones in the area.

Clean place and relatively well located, close to Chinatown… But pretty noisy, drunk neighbors that fight at 3pm, and no views of the city… Free parking is a plus (the guys that park your car are all really nice, smiling and very helpful). I will not go there again, I would prefer to spend a little bit more and have a nicer place.

Best value in San Francisco… and it's not even close. Great location, great views (depending on room) free Wi-Fi and… FREE PARKING! And all of their room are under $200.

Nice place if you can work out a good price it's always negotiable had a problem in my room on the 5th floor when some guy brought a dancer into the adjacent room and proceeded to pound her against the headboard for at least an hour and we weren't even offered anything for the inconvenience by the management but they seem to be nice guys and mr. Lee is a rockstar.

At first, arriving from outside, I was very skeptical about the reviews I read. Right in Chinatown, the neighborhood and premises are not very upscale! it's only when I got in the room that I had some relieve… The room was on the back top floor so quiet with a interesting view on the bay bridge. It was fairly clean and confortable and a little bit old. Free parking. It's too bad this hotel could be renovated in its old 50/60's style, it would be great. Except for the rates probably that are very good for the area.

Big place in the corner of Chinatown. 20 minutes away walking until market Street and pier 39. Parking is included. Rooms are fine (maybe a little old) and the staff is friendly.

One of my favorite SF hotels. Centrally located between Chinatown and Little Italy, clean and very quiet. Ask for a room on the back side top floor where it's so quiet you'll wake up forgetting where you are and views of the Transamerica building and the Bay Bridge.

Wow what a great place! Clean, updated, comfy, safe, parking, fantastic location north beach, Chinatown out the door! Walk everywhere. Super friendly and accommodating staff and great price. Had view of Coit tower out balcony. Set off of busy street, still slept like a baby.

The Motel is very good place, in the Chinatown and NorthBeach District 1 minute. You can easily reach the Wharf or the famous steep streets of the city on foot. If you are tired, a Ramblers stop is at the top of avenue Columbus (5 min walk) which will allow you to join Union Square and Pier 39.
The rooms and the bathroom are clean and. The beds are huge :) The cleaning is done all morning.
The big plus of the hotel: parking included! Perfect during a road trip to not take the lead to make the car safe (there a guard that keeps the car keys and present h24).
The staff is professional and helpful.

For the location you can't beat. And me and my fiance has stayed in other hotels in the spot area that sent this nice the staff is pleasant and the location is amazing you can't beat it. I ended up booking a year in advance by accident and they ended up still having rooms availibel.

The rooms are small and clean. You can't beat the price for staying in North Beach. You're just steps away from the best Chinatown and North Beach have to offer. People are really nice, too. And free parking!

We have stayed here 3 times now, always clean. The rooms are affordable, especially in San Francisco. Bathrooms are roomy, quiet at night too. The area looks sketchy, but it really isnt. We walk to Beach Blanket Babylon, and over to Italian town for dinner. It's a very nice walk, nothing scarey about it. If you want the best rate make sure to book on line.

Cheap for San Francisco. Next to Chinatown but noisy and not very clean.

Didn't have room available until an hour past checkin. Room kind of smelled bad. However, it was a better price than many of tge hotels in the area.

This is a budget hotel in Chinatown, but a very good one. We paid about half of general price level in the area, got on-site parking, a nice room, clean bedlinen atc and a prime lication for sightseeing. Yes it is a bit tired and would benefit from some renovation, but we still extended our stay and felt well treated by the staff. Excellent dining in the neighbourhood, incl Chinese, high end Italian, greek etc… we could easily come back if opportunity arose. Comparison is to the two weeks road trip previous to our night in SFO.

It's San Francisco so of course it's overpriced. It has a great location in walking distance of touristy activities. Located in China Town and free parking which is a huge bonus. The rooms are old and dated. The pillows are paper thin like the walls and the air conditioner was loud. The TV was older than me and I wouldn't be surprised if the bed was as well. The free Wi-Fi is extremely weak and I won't get into that you have to pay for ice. Pros: location. Cons: everything else.

The location is great! The Hotel is ok, if you only for sleeping and showers present there.

We had originally planned on staying here. Online it says the rooms are $105-115. Those prices were completely untrue when we arrived. We wanted to stay 4 nights, and they were going to charge us $1800! We quickly declined due to, the area being very sketchy, it smelled horrible. The stuff was rude, we said hello, they turned their heads. This place looked nothing like it does on the internet. I wanted to cry when I saw the area and how sketchy the location was. We drove around and ended up staying at Holiday Inn by the Fisherman for $727! Couldn't beat that! Right on the ocean, Walking distance from everything.

So So Hotel. Is quite old and rocked. The rooms are okay, the Wi-Fi is really bad, the shower is not a lot of water and in the room there are only old CRT TV with lousy sound&picture. There are free Parking and Unien Square, Market Street and the pier, you can walk away.

Nice price and clean room. Plus free parking with a security guard which is nice to know my vehicle Is being watched. Had a bit of a struggle finding it, but once you check in, you are in the heart of Chinatown.

As with most hotels this is an old one. We had a hard time finding it in the dark because the signage was poorly lit. It was nice having free parking and a security guard was on duty (always nice to see in SF). The view was good, the Inn overlooks the Shrine of St. Francis, St. S Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and Coit Tower. The older gentleman was super friendly and accommodating, he "upgraded" us to two beds from a king for free (a slow night but nonetheless very nice). The elevator was janky and I thought we would get stuck. Right when we got off the elevator I thought we were in a horror movie as the hallway was poorly lit and very dingy, however, the hallway quickly led to the rooms, which are exposed to the outside. The rooms themselves were old and you could tell they have had a lot of use and abuse, however, it was decent and the beds comfortable. Thankfully, no bed bugs. Haha. It was spacious but there was minimal furniture (no big deal for me). The bathroom tub was small and had some mold but not anything that would lead me to complain, especially for the rate. Overall, a decent place to stay if on a budget, the staff were friendly and place was good enough. One other thing, because the hallway where the rooms are located are completely exposed to the surrounding street, quite a bit of noise travels and you can easily hear cars driving by and people. Lastly, it was no big deal but unfortunately no free breakfast.

Not so bad when you consider price and location. Throw in the free parking and it was worth it. Booked two adjoining rooms. Ours was clean the other supposedly had some issues, was told but did not personally see it. Stumbling distance from little Italy. About 3/4 of a mile from the wharf.

Forget the older reviews — you will never find another hotel with such good location and rate, plus the privilege of FREE PARKING! And all the staffs were very kind and helpful. The room I stayed in had no fridge, but I didn't actually need one so even that was fine.

I have mixed feelings about this — loved the location (in the mix of Chinatown and walking distance to the piers). The hotel was old and the halls were dirty, but the room was pretty clean and we slept really well. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Funky bakery/cafe next door with the BEST rolls. So. I'd do it again for the experience. They also allowed us to park there after we checked out for cheap, which was nice and there was not a lot of room in the lot.

Good price in an expensive city.
