Bay of Plenty Hotels

A delightful stay with hosts Jane and Chris, who could not have made us feel more welcome. Gave lots of advice about what to do, where to go, the history of the area, and even had spades to borrow for a trip to Hot Water Beach. Lovely breakfast. Also a guest lounge with cutlery and plates if we wanted to eat in, and a covered outdoor area to sit out, whatever the weather.

It's roadside board says 'a great place to stay' and it's just so. Our holiday organiser Silver Fern in the UK both recommended and arranged our stay. Our hosts Jane and Chris were brilliant, nothing was any trouble, the breakfast was lovely, the room comfortable and the location very good. Jane and Chris provided lots insight on things to do and had a really helpful info booklet detailing all on offer. I thoroughly recommend as a place to stay.

Greg & I have had a lovely 2 night stay at Coromandel Seaview Motel. Gail was extremely welcoming and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Our room had a balcony with lovely views over two sea inlets. Very clean, comfortable and peaceful. No hesitation to stay here again. Thanks for a lovely weekend Gail.

Stayed two nights here last week and would highly recommend this motel. Room was immaculate and nicely decorated, bed was superbly comfortable. Host was welcoming (especially Spike the wee dog) and we enjoyed a beautifully presented breakfast.

Comfortable, quiet, spacious accommodation within easy walk to the city centre and all that Tauranga has to offer. The kitchenette is well designed and well equipped for those that care to self cater. Spa bath and balcony are nice touches too.

Rooms are always nice and clean. Good parking. Location ideal for shops and restaurants. Big thanks to Tui on reception. She is always nice, chatty, and always very helpful.

I had to arrive late in the evening because of leaving Auckland because of the coming cyclone.
Tui arranged for a lady to meet me off the bus and take me to the hotel. So much appreciated. Lights on in the room with TV on and milk in the fridge. Room and bathroom very clean.

Thank you for such a great stay! I have been traveling a lot for work lately and this was the cleanest accommodation I have been in so far, beautiful! Rooms were beautifully presented, bed comfy and the pillows were lovely. I can't fault anything. Simon was friendly and full of helpful recommendations. I'll be back for sure 🙂

Great value motel — clean rooms, great staff, comfy beds, what more can you ask for. I only stayed a night but will definitely return next time I am in Tauranga.
Possibly the only flaw is having someone else’s Ute backed right up to your window as the parking spaces don’t correlate with the units, but you close the curtains and it’s gone.

Excellent holiday park. Close to shops. Sea right there. Swimming pool fab. Nice warm temperature in pool. Showers excellent toilets also. This property has recently been upgraded. Would definitely go back. Big changes sine last there 13yrs ago.

We arrived at the park to be greeted by Rachel & Megan both made us feel exceptionally welcome. They gave us very clear information about the park while making us feel very welcome, it felt like we were booking into a family run venue not a large chain Rachel was so warm and welcoming as if we had been many times before this was so lovely so close to closing time for reception we were not rushed or hurried in any way quiet the opposite.

The Breakfast was amazing and the hosts were super friendly and accommodating.
The room was the cutest and had a very cosy feel. The location was quiet but also walkable to the Cafe and the Beach.
Rustic and charming, perfect for a weekend of relaxation.

Travelling from Australia we had two nights in this beautiful accommodation.
The cottages are unique, so quiet and everything you need for a short or longer stay.
Lots of space in the cottage.
Comfortable beds, large showers and quiet patio among a unique garden setting.
The gardens are special around each cottage.
We had a fire in our cottage and on one cold night it was great.
The firewood is replenished every day.
Room service if you want it.

This was the best place we stayed throughout our trip around New Zealand. It is well appointed, exceptionally clean and just across the road from the beach.
Brad and Jo went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and provided recommendations on the local area.

Joe and Brad are amazing hosts. The accommodation is so well thought out and super clean.

Enjoyed our Ibis stay with breakfast included in price. Rooms nice & clean. We had a great buffet at the Novotel restaurant, next doors.

Booked for king bed room two months in advance, wrote in two weeks ahead to advise that we would like a cleaner room, not like the dirtier ones reviewed on TripAdvisor, got a reply that they will try to assign a comfortable room. Got an old frayed room, and not even the room I booked for, got a twin instead! What's even the point… Update: after saying they were booked out for the weekend, they moved us to the room we booked for the next day.

No frills hotel. I found it a bit too expensive for what it was in comparison to other Motels in NZ, but still acceptable. I am personally not a fan of carpets in hotel rooms (which is pretty much every hotel in NZ) since I always find them a bit dirty.

Accommodation was on the first floor right in the corner but didn't matter too much. All facilities were good, only lacking a spatula for frying the eggs, but had a non stick pan! Didn't have time to make use of the jacuzzi bath sadly. The shower was powerful and hot. Beds comfortable and slept well. Recommend the swimming pool, heated was amazing. My brother and I had a sauna which was lovely. Quite a lot to do on site, crazy golf. Receptionist very helpful.

Stayed here twice and will surely come back. Nice location and lovely rooms.

Good points: 1. Well prepared facilities for kids and water sports. 2. Nice lake view, close to a local reserve. I like to watch the lake and people fishing under sunset. 3. Nice management & service team. Offered me basic food when I checked in at night for free when 1st I visited that place. Helped me to wash my car when my 2nd visit. (These are additional service, not suppose to be free. I understand, appreciate) 4.

Spacious rooms, clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Shefali was extremely helpful. Always greeted with a smile.

Nice and great place very comfortable… kitchen and bathroom very clean and every things you need are there.

Breaks the ideal of a traditional motel with its cool industrial looking exterior and modern and minimal interior.
Located down towards the pier, and walking distance to town, yet still quiet.
Rooms are crisp and clean and the small details count with sweet touches of whittakers chocolate squares in the kitchenette.
Oskar is the best welcome host and the owners are super lovely.
We’d happily stay here again.

This was my second time staying here. The first time I stayed in an upstairs room in the historic building, and my second time I stayed in one of the new units.
Both times were good. Nice showers, large with good water pressure. Good size rooms, that are clean and tidy. Quiet.
